New leaves, early morning, Moon's day, Kira's bedroom, Day 12, Year 287

"Kira! Please wake up!" Melathe called, she opened the door. Kira turned to her side; she was already awake. Lilith's threat kept her up all night. Her brain rushed with questions. Did Kora, Ash, and Blake think like that? Do they hate her? Melathe walked to Kira's bed and placed her paw on her head. "Kira, did you sleep?"

"Yes," Kira said. She yawned loudly. Melathe shook her head.

"Do not lie, Kira. It is not nice." She picked up Kira and held her close. She nuzzled Kira's ears. "You must be very tired." She cooed. Kira shook her head. There's no way she's going to sleep around Lilith. What if Kira messes up and Lilith attacks her? What if she kills her? Kira remembers the No Fur who struck her and almost killed her. What if Lilith goes through with it?

Melathe carried Kira into the living room. Kira remembered Lilith is supposed to be with Tal for training. That means she could get some shut-eye!

Kira's dreams fell apart when she looked into the kitchen. Lilith sat at the table, a bread slice halfway in her mouth. Tal sat across from her, a cup of tea sat in his hand. Brenton sat next to Tal; he was eating oats with milk. Tal smiled.

"Good morning, Kira!" Tal said.

"Morn'" Kira mumbled. Melathe placed Kira down on her chair, which was next to Lilith. Kira and Lilith sat on Ash and Blake's bench; they must be out with Rainer. Kira shifted uncomfortably; she didn't want to sit next to Lilith. What if she attacked her? What if Lilith is going to kill her? Kira jumped when Melathe placed a teacup in front of her face. It smelled like Golden flower tea. Kira picked it up and took a sip. Melathe sat down next to Brenton with her cup of tea in her hand. Tal took a sip of his drink.

"Kira, Lilith. You kits have made massive improvements the year. Kira has learned to solidify her magic and is beginning to learn patience with her training. She is also learning how to follow orders. Lilith is improving her aim and ability to dodge. She is a fast learner." Tal said to Melathe and Brenton.

"I also learned how to build makeshift camps and survive out in the wild!" Lilith exclaimed.

"My, my, my, my kits have grown up." Brenton held Melathe's hand, Kira hasn't seen that in a while. She's happy they forgave each other. "What did you learn, Kira?" Kira looked up at Brenton with tired eyes. She shrugged and drunk her tea. "Aw, did you not learn anything, Kira?" Brenton asked. Kira didn't reply. Her brain wasn't working. All she could think about was Lilith, hurting her, killing her, doing...whatever to her. Tal shook his head.

"I am sorry to butt in here but, I did not come here today just for chatting about their progress. I also came to invite Kira to a learning opportunity this week. This would teach her the importance of following orders and hopefully, reduce her lying." Tal said. Oh, Gods. Kira could feel Lilith staring at her with her cold dead eyes.

"And where is this opportunity?" Brenton asked.

"It is to the Monster conference to talk about the war. King Maximus told me to invite Kira; he said this could help her with her training." Lilith threw down her piece of bread. She got up and walked out of the room. Her door slammed a few moments later.

"With all due respect to our King, I do not think this is appropriate for Kira. She has never been outside the Silva area. The conference is taking place in Shadowmon territory; this is too far for a kit, Kira's age." Brenton explained.

"I-I agree with Brenton," Kira said. Lilith was going to kill her, or worse! Everyone seemed surprised by Kira's compliance. She's usually a very adventurous kit. She would have taken the opportunity in a SOUL beat.
