The Zoo

The family pulled into the parking lot of the Zoo at 11:50. It was a beautiful day in July and all of Summer so far had been that way. Anne got out and unstrapped the ticklish and now laughing baby that was her brother.

Now, Paul's parents had been receiving a lot of attention ever since he was born. Nobody had talked to Anne about how it was to have a younger brother. Anne didn't mind but she did know one thing: She loved having a new younger brother. She absolutely loved it. She couldn't wait for the drives to the mall they would have together or for the advice that she could give him if he was going through something tough. Nobody knew it, but Anne Griffin was the proudest sister in the world, and she was a good sister at that.

Well the family got everything they needed and walked up to the ticket booth with Paul in his stroller. They bought their four tickets and walked through the big arch with an elephant head at the peak. Paul stared in awe at the piece of architecture and then drooled a little (probably just a random drool and not at the elephant, but who knows?).

Anne immediately asked if they could go to the gift shop, but her mom said that they would go to the store after they had seen all the animals.

Immediately they saw some magnificent and bright pink birds. They were the most colorful flamingos the family had seen. They knew from that that moment the day would be great. They then followed the signs to the different animals and saw lions, tigers, and bears, oh my!

Then Anne saw a sign with an easily distinguishable figure on it and ran in that direction.  The parents picked up their pace to keep up with her and yelled for her to stay in sight. They then saw her staring at a huge enclosement of beautiful creatures. All of the family, including Paul, stared in amazement, and then all simultaneously smiled at the gorgeous butterflies. It was an amazing moment, like that touching scene in a movie.

Paul's first time in a Zoo, was a great time, but also his last.

Hi I know im not that great at writing, but this is the only way I can be with him.
