I did what Terrence asked me. Bumalik ako sa apartment namin and I'm on stand by because I am waiting for his call. After six hours nang paghihintay, bumukas din ang pinto ng apartment, I hurriedly run to Terrence matapos ko siyang makita.

"I'm back." he said trying to crack a joke. Hindi ako kumalas sa kanya, I can't even control my emotions, hinampas ko ang likod niya habang umiiyak. "Shh.." alo niya sa akin, he wiped my face. "Nakalimutan mo na ba? Matinik na abogado itong fiancee mo." he then smiled "We won't lose. I promise."

"Embezzlement?" takang tanong ko sa kanya matapos tanungin kung ano ba talaga ang nangyayari. "You mean they're pinning you down because of a crime that actually doesn't exist?"

"Malaking pera ang nawala, I was out of myself during that time and I can't even clean my own mess."

"At doon pumasok ang family nila Nash?" I asked. Tumango siya

"They helped me, wiped out the red mark and everything. Nash did that for me-"

"For you to love her."

"Zee."

"Yun ang totoo." sagot ko na lang "So what are your plans?"

"I'll find a suitable lawyer for this case. Of course yun ang una kong dapat gawin."

"What about the account?" huminga siya nang malalim, he bit his lower lip bago sumagot.

"I didn't expect na ganito nila ako titirahin. That account was named under me and they have proofs na ginagalaw ko ang perang na ka saved doon. I don't even know anything about it. They planned it well."

"They set you up." hinawakan ko ang kamay niya "Have you talked to your brother." hindi siya sumagot "S-Si Nash?" he looked down "I'll guess, her family wants you to marry her daughter at kapalit nun ang pag-urong ng kaso?" he just gave me a deep sigh.

Tumayo ako saka kumuha ng malamig na tubig. "Don't worry, we will figure something out." I assured him.

I did my research and I found out that aside from Nash's family, Theo is also pulling some strings. Lalong kumulo ang dugo ko sa kanya. He even texted me and obviously he is mocking me for asking how's our life going. Sinadya ko sa siya sa office. Dinatnan ko siyang nakaupo sa swivel chair habang inaantay ang pagdating ko.

"Ela. I'm expecting you." ngumiti siya "Ready to accept my offer?" agad niyang bungad "Oh please have a sit."

"Stop it Theo." sagot ko sa kanya while standing in front of him

"Why?" he asked and smirked "I just started."

"Hindi pa ba sapat ang limang taon na kinuha niyo sa amin ni Terrence?" he laughed, a evil laugh.

"Five years? Ela, your lifetime would not be enough. Pinili mo siya over me. Ako na walang ibang ginawa kundi ibigay lahat sa iyo, sa pamilya mo! Have you asked your Mom kung paano ko kayo suyuin? Ang buong pamilya mo?" tumayo siya saka nanggigil sa hawak na baso habang nakatingin sa akin.

"Did you ask your mother how many times my family saved her ass? Akala mo perfect ang company niyo? Akala mo walang butas? Have you asked your mother kung ilang beses na threaten  ang stability ng company niyo dahil sa mga mali niyang legal actions? Znela, your family needs us, not the other way around."

"Is that why she kept on asking me to choose you over Terrence? Am I just a mere compensation to all favors you have given her?"

"Compensation or not alam mo Ela na mahal kita." he answered "And I will do anything for you."
