"Get the wand?" Hoody asks as I meet them by the bench they found nearby.

I take it out of the holster and show them. "Rosewood veined with onyx, 11 inches, with the tail feather of a black phoenix for a core." I recite the make up to them in a bored tone. "Come on. I wanna get home. We've still got to get an owl and my potion supplies. I'm getting antsy being away." I put the wand back in the holster and wait for the guys to pick up the trunk and follow behind me to get the rest of the stuff.

"You ok? You seem a little freaked?" Hoody asks while tilting his head a little bit.

I smile at him, again flabbergasted by how genuine it was. "Yeah, just got a shock because I wasn't expecting to be dragged into a store. And the guy knew my biological family and almost gave me some information about them that I could do without. Sorry for being snappy. This is the longest I've been away from my boys since I figured it out. My chest is starting to hurt." Hoody pulls me toward him with the arm not holding the trunk.

"You'll be alright. Come on, lets finish shopping so we can get you back home faster." I smile lightly and duck out from under his arm and start looking for Wiseacres. That's really close to what happened the day L.J showed up. Not much has changed except I'm a lot taller now. Wow that was almost 7 years ago. Such a confused little girl I was. I shake myself out of those old memories. I need to focus not reminisce. I look ahead and see a large store with a sign saying 'Wiseacres Wizarding Equipment' on the front.

"I'll go in and get the stuff." As I glance behind me at the boys I see a sign indicating a pet store. "... Actually, you two go get the stuff, I wanna have a look at the owls and such. Come meet me in there when you're done." I point toward the pet store and hand them the bag of money and the list.

"OK, have fun with the animals." Masky ruffles my hair and pushes me toward the store with his free hand and walks over to Wiseacres with Hoods.

I walk over to the pet store and step in. I walk up to the counter and question the man behind it. "Hi, I'm looking to get an owl, do you sell them and if not could you direct me to someone who does?" I affect a polite tone even though the man himself looks like he belongs in one of the cages. Very wild eyes.

"Yeah, they're up the back. Come on, I'll show you some of our better choices."

"I'm only looking right now, but thank you." I follow the man, and he shows me a large selection of owls

"The pretty ones are up the back, away from casual pursuers. Take a look around and come let me know when you've made your choice." He walks back to the counter and sets his wild eyes on the 5 mice in the cage on the front on the counter.

"Ok then. You're unusual." I mutter under my breath and take a look at the owls, looking for a nondescript one that would possibly be over looked. I don't want something extravagant. That goes against every fibre of my being and every belief that has been drilled into me since Boss started my training regime. 'Safe is quiet, safe is not being seen, safe is being average in everything you do. The moment you draw attention is the moment you sign your own death warrant.' I see a few good candidates, they look normal, have very neutral tones, only problem is they rush to the front of the cage they're in the moment I come close. Obviously quite young then. I'll see what the older ones do. A few of them ruffle their feathers, most of them don't react. I'll come back to these, none of them are saying 'I am the one you want' I think I'll go look at the cats. Cats are cool. I walk toward the cats and look through some of the options. They're all pretty, but again. None of them scream 'I'm the inconspicuous pet you want! Have me!' I decide to just walk through the shop, being a casual customer. I come to the snakes and peruse some of them.
