Jin's POV:
I knew that Namjoon would come back alive, but I couldn't help feeling slightly worried or distraught. When I saw the stuffed sheep laying beside me, I only started to fall harder.
"What if he doesn't return?"
I hurried downstairs to see the rest of the people playing cards with one another. I hid behind the granite kitchen island and made my way to the door.
"I refuse to stay in this hell any longer.."I took a knife in my line of sight and quietly slipped out the door.
"Will Namjoon be okay?", I asked the soft sheep cradled in my arms.Namjoon's POV:
Leaving Jin behind might have been a mistake..
"Hey Namjoon!"
"Hey!"
I came out of my daze when I heard Jimin calling my name multiple times.
"What is it?", I asked, trying to ignore the sickness in my stomach.
"You look pale...", Jimin placed a hand over my forehead.
"I'm fine really..", I took out a water bottle and gulped down half before putting it back in my bag.
"I don't think having a fever is considered fine, let's go to that building", Jimin pointed to a cement building with a roof.
"Didn't you want to find Taehyung?", I asked with guilt.
"I can't just ignore it, but your health is important", Jimin walked faster, heading towards the cement building.
I followed behind swiftly even with the major throbbing of my head.We quietly opened the front doors, finding it suspicious that they wouldn't be locked. The doors opened to an endless hallway with flickering lights. A staircase opened up through the ceiling to many floors.
"What is this place?", Jimin touched the handrail of the stairs.
"Maybe a business building?", I answered back.
I held my head as if that would take the pain away, but it only became worst and more hard to deal with. Jimin slowly went up the stairs while I trailed behind him.On the second floor, there was an empty office with sheets of paper scattered about with the words 'HELP!' in a bold font.
"Namjoon?", Jimin leaned down to take a better look at the papers. My vision decided to go in and out while my body fell limp against the wall. Seconds later, I mainly see nothing but darkness.
The last thing I heard was Jimin calling my name.
"Namjoon?!!!!!"
Jimin's POV:
Before I knew it, Namjoon had blacked out. I tried to shake him awake, but his eyes wouldn't open.
I got up from the floor and went searching through the cabinets looking for a first aid kit. I instantly felt ashamed that I couldn't help him.
"There has to be one here!", I yelled at myself.
I went over to his bag that laid beside him and unzipped each pocket to come across a small picture of Namjoon wearing an army outfit.I wiped away the tears that I didn't know had fallen. My hands grab a mini box, hidden in the front pocket of the bag, with the bold red letters, 'First Aid.'
I went through the box looking for pain killers when a noise stopped me cold. I glanced around the room in the flickering lights, hoping not to come across those gruesome monsters. After the noise ended, I continued searching through the box until I found them in the very bottom, underneath the bandaids."Okay, Namjoon please stay with me...", I said taking a water from his bag.
I leaned his head on my legs to keep him elevated. I took one pain pill and placed it in his mouth, letting the water wash it down his throat.
Namjoon suddenly coughed.
"Are you okay?", I touched his forehead while he slowly woke up.
"Where are we?", he groaned.
"Still in the scary office...", I replied looking around, a chill still running down my spine.Once Namjoon realized his head was on my lap, he immediately leaned up against the wall, "I didn't mean to be such a burden..."
"You're not a burden! You should've told me that you were getting worse", I peered into his eyes.
"I'm sorry for worrying you."
"If you say I'm sorry again—"
I felt the paper behind me crackle like extra weight had been added. Namjoon glanced behind me with a finger to his lips while I sat there mentally going insane.
"Don't move or make a noise", he mouthed the words.
The crackling of the paper stopped; I began to slowly peer behind my shoulder, expecting to come face to face with death.
"It's gone...", Namjoon whispered quietly.I let go of the breath that I had been holding, carefully standing to my feet while Namjoon did the same.
"Let's search together", Namjoon led the way down the unknown hallways onto the next floor.
I slowly became more anxious as we got farther away from the exit of the building.
"Maybe we should leave...", I suggested when the rooms rested in pitch black.
"We haven't searched everywhere", he told me softly.
"I know, I just don't think Taehyung's here..", I kept a broom from slamming to the ground when I bumped into it.
"Can you stay a little longer for me? I want to see something...", Namjoon went up the next flight of stairs.
"What is it?", I asked him.
"It's a surprise", Namjoon smiled before continuing up what seems like endless stairs.Upon reaching the top floor of the building, there was a door at the very end of the hall that led outside. He opened the door to feel the breeze welcome itself into the dark building.
"It's the rooftop...", Namjoon walked to the edge of the roof, taking in the city view.
"What's so special about a rooftop?", I too glanced at the view.
"I missed it so much...", he placed his hands against the railing.
"Did you live on a rooftop?", I asked.
"Yes..when my family and I were still together without a worry in the world...", he sighed.
"I miss my family too...", I continued to take in the broken skyscrapers and the trashy streets."Is Jungkook okay?"
"Don't think of him! He left you alone!"
"Taehyung is the one that you truly care for..."
I looked away from the view and sat on a metal bench, "Why can't I ever do things right?"
"What do you mean?", Namjoon asked.
"I lost a dear friend because of my carelessness..."
"It's not your fault..", he patted my soft hair.
"But I wonder..why did he get so angry with me?"
I stood still pondering over such a question until a gunshot rang out a few miles away."We have to go!", I ran towards the door, letting painful thoughts fill my head.
"What if Taehyung is in trouble?"
