I wake up to the sound of the chaotic streets,
I'm a lone soul, I found solace in these sheets.
The ghosts of my past tarnish my future,
All because I fell for the vilest of creatures.
The cemetery lights up with lightening,
I fear I have lost it all, it's frightening.
I don't believe in love anymore,
It's nothing but sadness, deserted shore.
Thunder crashes above my head,
As I brokenly realize that romance is dead.
The corpse of my heart, is buried with my hope,
My optimism has been drowned by my love's ghost.
My heart snaps inside my chest,
As I achingly realize that romance is dead.
I don't really care about finding the one,
I used to be so caught up in finding that soul.
Now I spend my days wishing the hurt would recede,
It's painful to watch my body grow weak.
The cemetery lights up with lightening,
I fear I have lost it all, it's frightening.
I don't believe in love anymore,
It's nothing but sadness, no more.

Maybe I'll see somewhere down the line,
That I'm being dramatic and love is alive.
In this moment, I have grown to be hopeless,
The light has been lost, all I can feel is the darkness.
