They checked my head. I was fine but just needed to rest. The end of the day came and I rushed to the girls bathroom to change. I put on a black dress that covered most of me. I looked at my reflection in the mirror and just sighed, I really didn't think myself attractive. I walked out of the bathroom and turned the corner, I almost bumped into something but stepped back before that could happen. "Sorry" I said, not looking up.

"Close one. The last time wasn't pretty" The guy said, walking past me. I gasped and spun around to see Mr. Corbins standing behind me, leant against the wall. "Where are you going all dressed up?" He asked. My heart stopped and my breath hitched slightly.

"I-I have to go to a formal party thing..." I said. I saw his eyes widen a little and he coughs. He nods. "What?" I ask.

"Nothing, nothing. It's fine, have fun at that thing." He says. He walks away and I shrug it off. I walked out of the school and saw Kenna and Lola standing by the bench. They wave at me and we start walking to the venue. Kenna and Lola were invited by their parents to the occasion also, only their parents care about them. We arrived early to the place so we went to McDonald's.

"So what's the new teacher like, Margo?" Kenna asked.

"Yeah, you haven't told us what he's like yet." Lola added. I didn't really know what to tell them but I knew they wouldn't drop it if I didn't say anything.

"He's nice" It was a lousy response but it's the only thing I could come up with, without sounding like an idiot. They looked at me with their brows raised. Lola rolled her eyes. "What do you want me to say?" I asked.

"Anything!" They both said.

I made some stuff up about him and said what they wanted me to say. I didn't even mean any of it. We finished our food and walked back to the building and I saw it was packed. My parents were going to be so mad if they knew I was just one minute late. I walked through the door and saw my parents talking to some old dude. Kenna and Lola gasped behind me and started giggling and whispering. "What?" I said to them, spinning round on my heel. They didn't say anything just pointed past my shoulder. I turned slowly, dreading what I'd see next. Mr. Fucking Corbins. "Toilets now." I dragged them into the toilets, having a slight panic attack. I really did not want to be here now.

"Why did we come in here. There's eye candy!" Kenna squealed. "Margo, what is your problem with him?" As soon as Kenna said those words they both looked at each other, then at me.

"No!" I snapped. "I Don't!" I shouted. They laughed and turned me to face the mirror. They started twirling my hair round their fingers and straightening my dress. When Lola reached for her purse, I stopped her. No makeup. I hated that stuff, It was unnatural and just UGH. They turned me to face them once more and squealed in appreciation at their 'masterpiece'. Their words, not mine.

They pushed me out the door into the main hall where my ears were again filled with chatter. I walked to my parents my father was talking to an older woman and my mother was currently unnocupied. I decided to talk to them, for once I would try. "Hey mum, dad." I said, with a fake smile plastered on my face.

"Hello, sweetheart." She forced those words out of her mouth, I could tell, but at least it was a start. Just then she smiles at someone. I look to see who she is smiling at. Mr. Corbins approaches my mother with a smile. Offering his hand, they greet each other, perhaps a little too formally. I just stand there feeling very awkward.

"Hello Mrs. Macallister. Very nice to meet you." He says. My mother smiles at him, maybe in shock. She doesn't get called 'Mrs. Macallister' often.

"Nice to meet you too." She says. She doesn't bother to introduce me, she probably forgot I was even there at all. My dad comes up behind me and grabs my wrist. Mr. Corbins looks over at me and sees my father haul me away into the corner.

"Margo, where have you been?!" He snaps quietly. He has an angered look in his eyes. His tone almost death-threatening. "Why were you late?!" I looked at him and he's still gripping my wrist tightly. I try to loosen his hand but it won't budge.

"I went to eat." I stood my ground. Every second his hand grew tighter around my wrist. "Dad, stop!" I said, a bit too loudly. Heads turned our way but soon turned back, losing interest. My dad let go of my wrist but pushed me back against the wall and stormed off. I wanted to collapse into a heap of nothing but I didn't. I looked over at my mother who was no longer talking to Mr. Corbins. Suddenly, I feel a hand around my arm which pulls me into a disabled toilet. "What the..." I look up and see Mr. Corbins standing in front of me. "M-Mr Corbins..."
