I woke up with my alarm ringing in my ears and pressed the 'dismiss' button on my phone. I needed to get back into my usual routine in the mornings. My dad was still in bed and my mum had already left for work. My parents don't really care about me, they said I was a mistake. My mum tries to love me but she doesn't do the best job. My dad...just No.
I plugged my earphones in and turned on any music I could find. I walked into the school gates and saw Kenna and Lola talking by our lockers. They saw me and both ran towards me, almost knocking me over as they flung their arms around me. "Hey guys! I missed you too" I said, laughing.
"Hey! How was your holiday?" Kenna asked. Before I could reply Lola butted in and told us all about her holiday in Greece. I didn't go anywhere over the 6 weeks we had off, neither did my parents. My mother was always busy doing nothing and never had time for me. Anyway, we all walked to our form group talking about our crazy form teacher, Miss Yates. We all took our seats and talked for five minutes before we heard the door open. "Hello class! How were your holidays?!" She squealed. Nobody said anything and she just shrugged and took the register.
A few minutes later Miss Yates says that we're getting our timetables today. "Emily, please could you give out the timetables?" She said, holding the papers out to her.
"Of Course, Miss Yates!" Emily said. Emily was Miss Yates favourite student, she's what teachers would call 'The Perfect Student'. She came to our table and gave me a dirty look. I don't know why she didn't like me but I didn't care. "Margo, here's your timetable" I reached to take it but she took it away and put it at the bottom of the pile and went around the rest of the classroom."Bitch" I muttered under my breath. "Why does she hate me? I haven't done anything to her"
"Ugh, gross! Mr. Osborne for Maths!" Lola said looking to Kenna. "Same..." Kenna sighed. They both looked at me expecting me to say something. I flung my hands in the air, I still hadn't got my timetable. Emily finally came to me and handed me my timetable. She didn't say anything, just rolled her eyes and sat back down at the table right next to the teachers desk. I looked at my timetable and saw unfamiliar initials.
Maths - MCO
"Who's MCO?" I asked. Kenna and Lola shrugged and went back to comparing their lessons. I sat there for a second thinking, then someone tapped my shoulder. I turned round and saw this girl standing behind me. "Did you just say MCO?" She asked, her eyes widening. I nodded and she carried on. "Mr. Corbins? I hear he's really hot." She said. If he's hot, all the slutty girls will already be bombarding him, batting their eyelashes and shit. Ugh.
The bell rang and I looked at where I was for first period. Maths, I guess it was time to figure out exactly who this guy was. I walked upstairs and down the corridor to my classroom. It looked like everyone was already in the classroom so I turned the handle and went in...
