I narrow my eyes, trying to see if Mason's in his bed.
What the héll?
I turn around and see someone sneaking down the stairs. Mason.
Now
What the actual fudge? Why is he sneaking out?
I run after him, trying to not trip over my own feet or the steps on the stairs.
"Mason" I hiss
He ignores me and walks firmly further. Fastening my pace I catch up to him and stand in front of him, blocking his way out.
"What the héll do you think you're doing?" He hisses angrily
"I could ask the same to you. Why are you sneaking out?"
"That's none of your business" he says, looking away from my eyes
"Excuse me? Are you for real?" I ask, raising my eyebrows in disbelief
My eyes move to a bag hanging beside him.
"Where are you going?" My words come out shakenly, how bad I wanted them to sound confident
"Just go back to sleep, Alex"
I am a bit taken back by the intensity of his stare, but quickly recover.
"No. You're going to tell me where you are going and why" I say stubbornly
"Move out of my way, Alexia"
"I don't think so" I say, crossing my arms
"Why do you have a knife?"
"Because I thought you were a burglar, Caleb or Mark or whatever" I sigh and he chuckles lightly as I lay it on the kitchen island
"Now tell me, where the héll are you going?"
"It doesn't matter" he groans and tries to step around me
"Just tell me Mason"
"No"
"What's in your bag?" I ask, trying to look in it
He zips it close and keeps it away from me.
"Nothing that you have to know about"
"Is it a dead body?" I ask shocked
"It is, isn't it? Omg, why? Where? When? Who is it?" I panic
"Lex, it's not a dead body, chill"
I sigh in relief, fanning air in my face to stop stressing.
"Good, I was scared that I would have to help you bury it"
He chuckles lightly.
"Now tell me where you're going"
"I'm going somewhere you don't have to know about"
"Omg Mason, just tell me! How would you feel if I would sneak out at two in the morning and I refused to tell you why or where I was going?"
"I know you won't do that, so I have nothing to worry about" he smiles before rolling his eyes
He looks at his phone and sighs frustrated.
"Who are you meeting up with?" I frown and start to feel a bit insecure
Is he meeting up with a girl? Is he cheating on me?
No, Alex, he wouldn't do that. You have to trust him when he says that you're the only one.
"I'm trusting that you're not cheating on me, so where the héll are you going?"
