"Alright guys! We can get started now!" Thea shouted once I walked through the back door. "Remember the rules. No hands unless you're goalie, no hitting or intentional violence. And especially no magic." she said, whispering the last part. "Alright now, the--". "Yea yea yea, the first two to score a goal are team captains." Kade inturrupted. Thea gave him her death stare before starting the game.
The captain part was easy and went by fast. In the end, Kade and Sander ended up being team captains. They did rock, paper, sissors to see who picked first, and Sander won, so he picked first. "I pick... hmm.." he wondered. "Hurry up I'm not getting any younger!" Seth shouted. "Haha fine, Bonnie get over here". Bonnie ran over to Sander's side and Kade chose next. Kade thought for a moment before choosing. "Seth." he said. "Offense!" I scoffed. He just grinned his cheesey grin. "Guys, hurry up. This is why I hate when you win." Thea groaned impatiently. "Jealous much?" Kade and Sander said in unison, grinning at her aggitation. Thea didn't like that one bit, and she showed it too. She conjured up her staff and shot forward two giant fireballs. The guys ducked away just in time. Never make a witch mad, she'll do more than turn you into a toad. Sander and Kade stood up once Thea finally got rid of her staff. They brushed themselves off and continued with the teams.
Eventually, Thea and I ended up on Kade's team, and Nick and Lacey ended up on Sander's. Perfect, my revenge will go un-detected. The game began and progressed quickly. Our team was winning and I would score the last goal. I was playing as center and Nick was goalie. I just smiled at that thought and sped up before Lacey stopped me. She was a mind reader, and probably knew what I was planning. I approached the defense line and dodged Bonnie's attempt to swipe the ball. I lined up my kick and wham!, right in the stomach. "Ah shit!" Nick yelled as he fell to the ground in pain. We all ran over and ended the game with a draw. The guys helped him inside and we followed. Bonnie looked at me and started giggling uncontrolably. "That was so not an accident." she said. I just shrugged with a cheeky grin plastered to my face, and we walked inside.
