Chapter 1

“Mabuhay! Welcome to the Philippines!” nakangiting bati sa kanya ng flight stewardess.

She filled her chest with air and smiled back at her.

“Thank you,” she said and went pass through the girl and walked straight to get her luggage.

Welcome back to me…

She wanted to correct the girl, but what would she get? Hindi ata nito nahalata na Filipino sya!

Kahit nga sa London ay hindi sya pinagkakamalang Asian, thanks to her half-white mother. She colored her hair light brown, she curled it and she changed her fashion statement. She used to be just a timid and girly girl. And she changed all that including her attitude and her beliefs as a start of her new life. She wanted to feel like she was reborn, fresh and brand-new, like a newly bought glass free from stains and cracks. Now, she doesn’t only look like a pure Caucasian but a modern plucky girl who is a lot braver and better than the previous Charlize del Moral.

After she had put her belongings to the trolley, she pushed it as she now head to the arrival area of NAIA. She was shaking a little bit; she couldn’t count how many times she gasped for air before departure more than 30 hours ago from the Heathrow Airport at London. And now, she is still doing that just to calm her senses.

She was 50 percent decided and 50 percent hesitant. Hesitant of coming back to the Philippines, her country, her homeland…because this is the last place she promised herself to ever step again. But she was threatened that if she won’t return to the Philippines, she will either be deported or her ‘LIFE’ will be taken away from her.

And she can’t let that happen, she can’t let the same person whom she already brutally killed in her memories destroy the now peaceful life she reconstructed after it was burned down five years ago.

She did not regret her decision to leave the country, it did her best. Kung hindi pa nya yun ginawa noon baka ngayon ay wala na sya dito sa mundong ibabaw.

Suicide… nakakatakot na salita at kahit isipin man lang pero sumagi yan sa kanyang isipan. She was in a suicidal state because of what happened to her… she blamed the fates, she blamed herself and she blamed the man who turned his back on her.

And yes, mayroon parin syang nararamdamang konting takot sa kaloob-looban nya. Today she can boldly think that fear is only human nature…but even though, she is a lot more courageous now after everything. And because she is afraid that her life will once again be washed-up, but will fight for it with all that she has left.

She is back but not for good, babalik ulit sya sa London matapos nyang tapusin ang lahat at harapin ang kaisa-isang taong hinding-hindi nya ninais na makita at makasalamuha pang muli. But fate decreed they would meet again, and she will stop at nothing to defend her ‘LIFE’.

And that is even if she’d have to face the man from her nightmares…the man from her painful and dark past.

Rafael Salcedo should be scared… because she is no longer the sweet Charlize he once knew… she is now the scorching Hot and Spicy Charlize.

He taught her the down side of life the hard way, and now she will tell him how it feels like down there until he begs her to stop.

He traced her at London and wants her back to the Philippines because he found out something. He found out that she lied to him; she lied because she knew he didn’t deserve to know about ‘him’. He didn’t deserve to know about the existence of her ‘angel’.
