Damon let me fall back to sleep and then woke me up again at eight in the morning.
"Get up, sleepy head." Damon said.
"Damon, it's Saturday. I'm tired." I said.
"You can sleep in tomorrow. Time to meet disco sparkling vampires." He said and did a little disco move.
"Fine." I said sitting up. "How were the eighties anyway? Did you have an afro?"
Damon just rolled his eyes and opened up a draw. He picked something up and it was a pair of my underwear. It was my cheetah print underwear.
"Hey!" I shouted, rushing over and taking them from him.
"Sexy." He said, winking.
"Oh shut up." I said, giggling.
Damon went downstairs while I got dressed. I put on jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and my converse. I went over to the mirror and brushed my hair.
I went downstairs and my nose carried me to the kitchen. Damon cooked breakfast.
"I hope you like eggs." He said.
"You really didn't have to do this." I said.
"I know." He said.
"Well, it looks delicious. Thank you." I said.
"No problem." He said.
I took a bite and they were the best eggs I've ever tasted.
"Oh my god. You should be a cook." I said.
Damon laughed.
"Seriously though, fantastic." I said.
After I finished my breakfast I decided to make cookies for the new vampires in town. I don't want them to know that I know they're vampires and isn't that the neighborly thing to do?
The cookies were done around ten. I put them on a plate and wrapped them up.
"Don't be nervous. I'll be right there with you." Damon said, holding the door open for me.
"I'm not nervous. Are you nervous?" I asked.
"Not at all." He said.
I looked at him. I knew he was lying.
"Okay, maybe a little. But they're different vampires. I don't know what they're capable of." He said.
"Well sparkling is scary." I said, unlocking my truck.
"Oh yeah." Damon said, laughing.
"I'm gonna call Jake, just to let him know." I said, opening the passenger door and getting in.
"If you do that then he'll just wanna come along." Damon said, opening the drivers door and getting in.
"True but he should know." I said.
"We'll go over to wolf boy's after meeting the sparkling vampires, okay?" He said.
"Okay." I said.
Damon started up the truck and started to head toward the road he saw the moving truck drive into.
Twenty minutes later, he found the road. It was a long road, deep in the woods.
"Pretty private." Damon said.
"And also pretty creepy." I said.
Ten minutes later, we reached this old wooden house. It was huge.
"What a house." I said.
"You should see my house back in Mystic Falls." Damon said.
"You never told me why you moved here. I mean I know your brother had some problems but-" I said, but he interrupted me.
"I'll tell you some other time, okay?" He said, pointing to his ear.
"Okay." I said, knowing what he meant. If vampires like him had super hearing, then other vampires probably did too.
I hopped out of the truck with the cookies and headed toward the door followed by Damon.
I knocked and I heard voices inside. I looked at Damon and he just had a frown on his face. He looked at me and nodded, meaning this is the house full of vampires.
I heard footsteps coming closer to the door and this reddish brownish haired guy answered the door. He had golden eyes and pale skin. He was absolutely gorgeous.
"Hi, I'm Bella and this is Damon. We heard you guys just moved in and we wanted to welcome you guys to town." I said, handing the plate of cookies to the guy. Our hands touched and his hand was so cold, like ice.
"Thank you. I'm Edward by the way." Edward said. "You guys can come on in."
"Thanks." I said, stepping inside. Damon followed, looking around.
"Nice place you have here." Damon said.
"Thanks. Supposedly it was built in the early 1900's." Edward said.
"Hmm, you don't say." Damon said.
Edward lead us toward this big open living room. The five others were sitting there watching tv. They all turned their heads toward Damon and I when we entered the room.
"This is Bella and Damon. They brought cookies to welcome us to town." Edward said, sitting down the plate of cookies on a side table near one of the couches.
"Well wasn't that nice." A woman with medium length reddish brownish hair said, coming toward me. She must be the mother but she looked like she was in her twenties.
"I'm Esme Cullen, nice to meet you." Esme said, shaking my hand.
"Nice to meet you too. You have a lovely home." I said.
"Thank you." Esme said.
"Hi, I'm Alice." A short girl with a pixie haircut said, hugging me. I'm creeped out or more overwhelmed than creeped out.
"That's Jasper, Rosalie, Emmett, and Carlisle's at the hospital working." Alice said, pointing to everyone.
"Hospital? Is he a doctor?" Damon asked, curious.
"Yes, that's why we moved here." Alice said.
"He must be one hell of a doctor then." Damon said.
"Yeah, he is." Alice said, giggling.
"Well we would stay but we're suppose to meet up with some friends." I said.
"Oh, well it was nice to meet you! Come over anytime!" Alice said.
"Nice to meet you too." I said, walking towards the door.
"I guess we'll see each other Monday." Edward said, catching me before I went out the door.
"Monday?" I asked.
"Yes, my siblings and I are enrolling into High School here." Edward said.
"Oh, well I guess I'll see you guys then. Bye." I said, walking down the steps and got into my truck. Once I got in, Damon drove off.
"I think Mr. Hero Hair likes you. Maybe a little bit too much." Damon said.
"Well, I have a thing for someone else." I said.
"Oh?" He asked.
"Yeah." I said, grabbing his free hand and smiling.
In the corner of my eye, I saw him blush.
