Love in Hell

Chapter Five

Sky fell asleep a few hours later, still holding my hand. Rae came in and I said she could sleep between us. I let go of Sky's hand and wrapped my arms around both of them and tried to sleep again. I finally fell asleep around 3:30 in the morning.

I was running through the woods again. But this time, I heard a motor behind me. I looked and it was a dirt bike. Skylar was riding it, an evil grin on his face and a crossbow on his back. He was calling for me to stop running and let him give me mercy. I wove through the trees killed several walkers as I ran. I heard his bike close in on me and a crash. I looked back and the bike was on the ground by a tree, Skylar no where to be seen. A leaf fell near my face and I looked up to see Skylar falling towards me before pinning me to the ground. He smirked at me and reached into his pocket. "Sorry it had to be like this sweetheart, but this is my game, so my rules." He pulled Rae's blood soaked locket from his pocket and I screamed.

I quickly sat up and screamed Rae's name. Sky instantly sat up and hugged me. He stroked my hair and shushed me, assuring me that Rae was alright. I sobbed into his chest for a while before I finally calmed down. We laid back down and I curled into his chest. He kissed the top of my head. "Do you want to talk about it sweetheart? I'm here if you do." I closed my eyes. "You were on a dirt bike chasing me through the woods. You finally caught up and pinned me down." I started to tear up again. "You pulled Rae's locket out of your pocket and it was covered in blood." I cried again for a few minutes before I calmed again. "It was just a dream, sweetheart, it wasn't real. You can trust me." I closed my eyes again and pressed the tip of my head to his chin. "I know I can, Pup, and I do trust you. Nightmares just scare me bc sometimes they come true..." I know I sounded like an idiot but he didn't say anything and just rubbed my back.

We got up a couple hours later to make breakfast and wake up Rae. Luckily, the house still had some electricity and propane so I could cook and we could all shower sometimes.(Sorry if I said that wrong and sounded like an idiot, I'm a dumbass bc it's 2:22 in the morning!!) I made some Eggos in the toaster because I was too tired to actually cook.

After we ate, Rae went back upstairs and I started cleaning up. I was washing some dishes when I felt Skylar's arms go around my waist. "Can I clean up first before you start being all huggy and lovey?" I ask, smirking and slightly swaying. So it's a crime to hug you now sweetheart?" He kissed my cheek. "That's a pity, you're really small and huggable." I rolled my eyes and finished the last plate. "I'm not that small, Mr. Academically Inclined Football Star." I dried my hands and leaned my head back on his shoulder. "I'm not that stupid, Miss Academically Gifted Nerd Queen." He replied, kissing my jaw. I turned to him a little. "Hey, I'm your 'Nerd Queen' now, Sky." I kissed his nose and watched him blush. He cocked an eyebrow. "All mine?" I smiled. "All yours." I kissed him for the first time. His face lit up and his smile was so cute.

We went for a walk after that, leaving Rae to watch the house and set a few of her traps. We walked through the woods hand in hand, hearing a few bird here and there. Then it was silent and we both looked at each other. We looked around and suddenly heard walkers. I started to draw my sword but Sky stopped me. He pointed to a tree that looked easy to climb. I nodded and we ran for it.

We were a few yards up and the walkers came into view. We silently watched them go by, limping and some even dragging their feet. There were about five or six of them. I got a little restless and Sky put his hand on my leg and shook his head.

When they were finally gone, we hopped down and started back for the house. I thought I heard something break. I started yelling for Rae and running. I almost broke the door getting in. I looked around and ran to the kitchen. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw my little sister cleaning up a broken dish. I ran over and hugged her, both of  us being careful of the glass in her hands.

Sorry for the weird ending guys, I ran out of ideas. I'll do better next time. Byeeeeee
