Jungkook tries to break through the bathroom door, clawing at it with his sharp fingernails as he hears his hyung screaming from behind the door. Namjoon's scent is strong, way too strong to be normal and it's sweeter too, and the young alpha tries to ignore how the scent has a growl forming in the back of his throat. He doesn't know what to do, all he wants to do is smash this door down so he can wrap the taller boy up in his strong, muscled arms.

He shoves Taehyung and Jimin out of the way, the older two boys throwing him confused looks but they back away as soon as they see what the younger boy is about to do. He takes a step back and readies himself, psyching himself up and growling. Namjoon's scent only serves to spur him on, combined with the way that he's screaming like he's dying. And he probably is, and the thought has his breath hitching and hits him deep down in his heart. He latches onto the bond then but he can't remove the pain like his hyung had done for him on the day of his presentation, it's far too strong for the young alpha to bare and he flinches from the throbbing pain of trying.

He kicks the door down then, and the wood splinters from the force of his strong kick. The second it's down the three young boys rush into the bathroom, jumping over the broken door and sucking in shocked gasps as they see their hyung slumped down on the shower floor. He's curled up into himself, small and weak when he usually looks so strong, hugging his long legs with his equally long arms, and Jungkook kneels down before him.

They touch his body then and Jungkook hisses. Namjoon's body is so hot, way too hot, and it's like he's catching fire, burning up and he's dying. He's dying. Jungkook forces himself to ignore how his hands come away covered in a thick layer of something he's never seen before as he stares up at his pack mates, and the fear growing behind their eyes scares him more than he's ever been scared in his entire life.

He grabs Namjoon and cradles his body within his arms, shoving his face into his own scent gland in a weak attempt to try and comfort him. He's never thought about his hyung like this before, but he feels so small within the alpha's arms. He weighs almost nothing and the thought stings painfully in the back of the young boy's throat, almost as painfully as his own cinnamon scent stings him as he unconsciously starts to pump out a thick layer of alpha pheromones.

Jungkook carries Namjoon to his own bedroom and lays him down on his bed, looking away from him with flushed cheeks when he notices that the older boy is naked. Taehyung and Jimin are shouting then, practically screaming in each other's faces as they try to decide what to do. Namjoon is writhing about on the bed in pain, groaning and whimpering so highly that it shocks Jungkook down to his core.

He hears them then, and finally understands what they're saying. Omega.

Omega.

He doesn't know if he believes it but what he guesses is the older boy's slick is still on his hands and he has to fight away at the urge to lick it, disgusted at himself for thinking about it but once he's made the thought it's all he's able to think about. His inner alpha growls and snaps at the two betas who walk towards the bed, and Jungkook stands protectively in front of them, blocking their clear path as Namjoon continues to scream and sob behind them.

They tell him to move, trying to order him, trying to explain to him that Namjoon needs to be mated if they are to try and save his life. But Jungkook can't let them do that, they can't do that to his hyung, to his omega who's nearing death and Jungkook feels lost, hopeless, he can't let Namjoon die, so Jungkook does the only thing he can think of. He alpha orders them and they instantly freeze, forced to turn and leave the room with tears streaming down their faces.
