The Keepers Of Immunity

Prologue

Jess's POV {PAST}

I was running through the forest. They were chasing me. These big scary guys in black were chasing me. My raven black hair was flying behind me. I couldnt see well, my hazel eyes havnt adjusted to the dark. It is around ten pm, i'd guess. I know a little about these guys. They work for an organization. They take kids, just about any age, and experiment on them. They are a secret part of the goverment. I may only be six, but im pretty mature. They took my best friend, and i've been trying to find out what happened to him. He was always a bit strange, but he was nice. He was the only person who didnt bully me or hit me or call me names. I'd been tracking him for about two months when i found a hidden lab in Mayhem woods. i know, comforting name. Sarcasm intended. I had found a way into the air ducts and was crawling through them, when I looked down though a vent. There he was. Jin. But, he was wearing a white lab coat. 'What on Earth is he doing', i had thought. But then i heard it. The talking, between Jin and some girl who was around our age, Jin was only a year older than me after all. "I cant believe you let her escape, Jin! She would be the perfect experiment. ", The red headed girl says to Jin. "I know, I know! But i had to get away quick! The Nix's were getting too close!", Jin exclaimed, looking up at the girl from a test tube. It was filled with a green liquid that he was examining. 'What is that stuff? What are Nixs? What is he doing? Who is she?', all these questions flooded my mind. "Yeah,  yeah. But still, that Jess girl would have been perfect! She is fast, strong, loyal; Everything that we need for these experiments.", the red head exclaims. 'Wait, they were talking about me? Jin betrayed me? He is such a liar! If i ever get my hands on him I'll-', my thoughts were interupted my a stange groaning noise. It seemed to be coming from the metal. Thats when the hole broke, and i fell through. Right onto that red headed girl. I quickly stand up and see that Jin is shell shocked, his mouth open. The girl i fell on was seemingly unconcious. Jin's surprised expresion changed to a smirk. It almost seeming evil. He pulled out a radio-looking device. He then mumbled into it words that i had to strain my ears to hear,"She is in my lab. Right now. Come and get her.". That was all he said, but i still knew what was coming. They were going to come in and get me. The people who worked here. "Traitor.", was all I said, before running out of the room. I had to get out. I had to. While i was running, i found a file on an unoccupied desk that said ont the front,'New Test Subjects and Intel'. It was just too perfect, so of course i grabbed it. I had to find out what this place was all about. And I will.

But that is how i ended up running from all of these men in the forest. I still had the file under my jacket. I made sure it was safe. It was probably the only way I could get any answers. I also had to lose these guys, and quick. If I made it out now, maybe I could find out what this place is all about. And if they are using humans, kids, as experiments, then I will take them down. I need to find out. Just as I turn a corner, I run smack into another guy in black. He tackles me to the ground, the folder falling out of my jacket. Then everything went dark.

Six years later                                                                                                                                                                            I'm still at this place. I was captured six years ago. They've been doing weird experiments on me, trying to test how far the human body's limit can be pushed. I've been gathering as much information about this place as a can. So, when I found out how to escape, I can take this place down. As far as I can tell, they haven't experimented on more kids than me. I found out that when I got here six years ago, they had only been around for about three months. They were trying to find a kid with the right biological structure or something like that to do their experiments on. That kid just happened to be me. They just call me experiment 1. They don't take any notice that I have a real name. If it weren't for me having scratched my name in the wall with a rock, I'm afraid I would have forgotten it. I found out this organization is called M-E-K. It stands for 'Major Experiments on Keepers'. 'Keepers' are what they call people who have some sort of rare and special disfunction of sorts in their brain. It makes their body able to sustain more things than a normal human. I've had so many physical tests and mental tests that I stopped counting. When I'm not going through their tests, I'm locked up in my room. Its more of a prison cell, though. It had thick metal walls and concrete floors. There are no windows or lights except for a small candel in the corner. My sorry excuse for a bed is a plyboard slab with a thin blanket and an old pillow case that is full of hay stapled on the top. I also have a pile of clothes on one side. By a pile, I mean a folded stack on the floor. And by clothes, I meant orange prison-like overalls, two old shirts, a tank top, and two pairs of socks. The overalls have black print on the back that says 'Experiment 01'. I have two pairs of shoes, old running sneakers and black combat boots. All of my tops are black. I have two pairs of overalls, since I am required to wear them every day. I do have one pair of sport shorts, but those are just for me to sleep in. I hate it here! Right now, its after training time, so I am in my 'room' and sitting on my 'bed'. That day I had actually found some hair dye and stole it. Of course it was purple. I am going to dye the bottom of my hair purple in the 'bathroom' when its night time. I say it like that because it's hardly a bathroom. I can barely step in it because it is so small. Anyways, because of all the tests they have given me, ive actually become very physically fit. I am quite fast and strong. Not only that, but they put me in crazy college classes in the lab. I'm as smart as a college student! I wonder what life is like on the outside......
