Punishment {chapter one}

Jess's POV

I did just as I said I would last night. I dyed the bottom part of my hair a lilac purple. I cant wait to see how Jin will react! Don't get me wrong, I definetly don't like him! I despise the guy! I mean he betrayed me! But now he is in charge of watching after me while I do my test to make sure I don't do anything bad, so I want to see how mad he gets when he sees what I did to my hair! He will be enraged. He is only thirteen, but he can get pretty mad. One reason I don't like him is because he is the one that suggested that they make me forget about everything that had to do with my family or friends before I was captured. All I remember about before is that Jin pretended to be my friend and betrayed me. I don't even know if I had friends or family before this. They used this big machine that they called the 'M-E-F'. I know, dumb right? It stands for 'Memory Effective Forgetor'. These people need some creativity when it comes to names. But ever since that day, six years ago, I forgot everything about every person that was important to me. I like to think that my parents and siblings if I had any are still around and that they miss me. And that when I finally find a way out, that I will be able to find them. That one day, I will be able to remember them. It's the only thing keeping me going at this point.

It is now six A.M., the time that I get up. So I woke up and put on my tank top and the bottom part of my coveralls. I tied the arms of them around my waist. I hate wearing these things, they make me feel like a prisoner. The intercom came on, 'Guards, bring subject one to the CEO's office'. That confused me, on Mondays I'm supposed to have the electric shock testing. I've become almost completely numb to the electric shocks by now. I never go to the CEO's office unless I get myself in trouble, but I didn't do anything bad yesterday. Except dye the bottom of my waist length hair, but they didn't know about that yet. I hear a knock at the heavily guarded metal door of my cell 'room'. "Come on! The boss wants to see you, unless you want another punishment later!", I heard Jin yell. I sigh and put on my boots, comb my hair the best I could with the old plastic, broken comb that I was given. I then walk out the now unlocked door. Jin was standing there with six guards. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR HAIR?!", Jin yelled at me. "Uh, I dyed it? Be happy it was my hair that was dyed, and not me that died!", I say back, snarkily. I then flip my hair and start walking towards the CEOs office, but not before the guards quickly surrounded me. I know where the office is because whenever I get in trouble, they take me there. And trust me, I'm a trouble maker. I may only be twelve, but like I said, I'm smart. The rest of the walk through the maze of halls was silent, just some glares shared between me and Jin. That guy will pay, I swear. He is evil.

We finally make it to the office. One of the guards opens the door while another one shoves me in. Jin walks in behind me along with two guards. The rest of the guards go out to guard the door, shutting it behind them. I finally face forward, but I gasp in surprise. next to the CEO are a bunch of kids. They look frightened. "Well, if it isn't Subject one. I brought in some new subjects, isn't that just great!", the CEO, a fat man with silver hair and greenish eyes. My eyes flashed with fire. "What?!", I say quietly, just loud enough for the CEO to hear, my voice laced with venom. The CEO looks startled for a moment then regains his composure. "I said, you moron, that we have new subjects. They are keepers, but their brain aren't as strong as yours. They wont be given as hard of tests as you have but still, they will go through tests.", he said. Ive never known the CEOs name. The entire time, the kids in the back stayed quiet, looking scared. "I CANT BELIEVE YOU! YOU HAVE ME, YOU HAVE TORTURED ME, YOU HAVE TESTED ME! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BRING SOME POOR KIDS INTO THIS! IVE BEEN HERE FOR SIX YEARS, AND YOU JUST SUDDENLY THINK IN THAT STUPID DIM-WITTED HEAD OF YOURS,"HEY WHY NOT GO NAB SOME KIDS, SEPERATE THE POOR THINGS FROM THEIR PARENTS, AND TEST ON THEM WITH RANDOMNESS ALONG WITH THE GIRL THAT I HAVE TRAPPED LIKE A RAT IN A CAGE!", I yell at the fat man. He looks angry at me for yelling and saying those things, but I'm too busy fuming to really notice. "Guards! Come in and take Subject one using any force needed to the punishment chamber. Take these new subjects with you to see what happens when they misbehave.", the CEO yells to the guards. Four of them come for me, struggling to keep me in their grasp as I kick and snarl and bite and hit. The other two go and round up the other kid Keepers. "I swear to you, you idiotic CEO! You wont get away with this, ill make sure of it!", I hiss. "Take her away.", he states simply to the guards, not taking his eyes off of me. As soon as I'm taken out of the room, everything goes black.
