Finn was a nervous wreck.
Four weeks ago he would have been excited for this. Scratch that, two weeks ago he probably still would've been excited for this. But it was four weeks too late for him to be excited now.
Four weeks ago he and Millie had spent the night together in New York. They had laughed, joked, and overall just had a fun night together. At least, that's what Finn thought. So why had Millie still not talked to him? Why had she been ignoring his messages for four weeks? Why had the only contact between the two- if it could even be called that- been the comment she had left on his Instagram post from two weeks ago?
He hated the fact that he was so nervous about this. He probably wasn't even going to see her while he was in Los Angeles, but that didn't change the fact that he was scared. He most likely wouldn't even be seeing her until about two weeks when they went to the Met Gala together.
Finn was definitely dreading that. He didn't want to go to the Met to begin with. He didn't see the point, which was exactly why he had rejected the offers every single time. Of course Millie had convinced him though and of course he had pinky promised. He said yes when they were still friends though and now he wasn't able to change that. She had already talked to Jeremy Scott, the one who was styling her for the night, and he was ecstatic when he was offered the opportunity to style Finn too.
That's exactly why he was on his way to LA now, to be fitted for the last time before the event. He was nervous to see what the designer had whipped up because he knew just how outrageous some of the looks could get. He didn't know if he would want all that attention on himself.
"Finn, we landed," Mark's voice rang out.
Finn turned his head away from the window and nodded before standing up. He grabbed the backpack he had brought and put the straps over his shoulders before putting his hood up.
Pia and Mark walked ahead of him, their hands clasped together tightly. Finn always forgot that they were together. They were usually just a bit more professional around him so moments like this were a rarity for Finn. He smiled slightly at the thought of their relationship. The pieces that Finn had seen had always made him feel happy for them. They genuinely loved each other and the happiness that the two shared radiated off of them immensely.
He always dreamed of the day he'd find something like they had.
"Unfortunately we have to go straight to the fitting so we won't be checking in to the hotel until after," Mark said as they walked to the car that would take them.
"Great," Finn said with a sigh.
"What's up with you?" Pia asked glancing back at Finn.
He raised his eyebrows slightly, "Nothing?"
"You were really quiet the whole flight and you usually aren't. You seem off lately," Pia replied.
Finn shook his head, "I'm not."
Mark and Pia both looked at each other, making Finn narrow his eyes at the two. He knew it was going to be a long day and he wasn't looking forward to it. He couldn't help the fact that Millie had affected his entire mood lately. He liked her and had some sort of feelings towards her and he had come to terms with that. He hated the fact that she had stopped talking to him right around the time that he had even realized it though. He had hoped that she felt the same because they had such a good time together after Gaten's show. Sure they had argued one or two times since they had met, but they had gotten over that.
