gemma —
from the words of kian i had become more calm that he did not blame me due to the events of before. however that was not a thought that could be put into detail when athina and aaron fuller had made themselves present within the walls of anastasia's motel room. they stood with their heads held high and a small smile when their hands held one another.
anastasia's mother and father were the type of magis you long to be like. to have the ability of being so strong minded and filled with good morals. they were looked up by and idolized by most of the community and i always understood why. yet when the reality started to be brought up by some of their rather cruel beliefs to anastasia, i realized, everything was not how it seemed.
"mom, dad." anastasia says greeting them coldly and they loose the emotions of positivity that they held in their face. however when their eyes fell on me it came back.
"gemma, we haven't seen in you in the longest. look at you, resembling your mother more and more everyday, darling." her mother gushes and i faintly smile when they do. i stand up to pull them in a hug due to them basically being family as well.
"it's good to see you guys too." i state and they grin a little wider now because of my words yet that only forms a harsh sigh to fall from anastasia's voice.
"alright enough with the small talk and fake smiles. we need to talk, now." the angered magi informs and that causes her mother and father to glare at the girl. athina crosses her arms and aaron still remains in his same position.
"that's not so polite, anastasia." her father warns and she scoffs.
"i've been polite enough so far. but either way you don't deserve it because of how sick you two make me feel." she spits out and i want to leave the room as i suddenly feel uncomfortable from the way they bicker. i believed everyone else does as well.
"excuse me, young lady. but how dare you-"
"no, how dare you! you tortured him mom. you tortured that boy when he was just a child and innocent just for the need of diana circe. the both of you hold yourself so high up in the magi community and yet i can't even see you guys as one anymore after what you did!" she explains it when she interrupts her mother's statement. however they don't reprehend her anymore when there faces are
suddenly pale and painted with a shocked estate."how do you know about that, anastasia?" her father questions quietly. but the girl laughs sadly now.
"you care about how i found out about it but not trying to defend yourselves to me? to tell me you're sorry for lying? i've been forced to look up to the both of you and prove our name as nothing but perfect and yet the both of you are frauds." anastasia states and there is sadness with every syllable that leaves her lips. "all my life i try so hard to be the best i can for you and it was never enough. but when i found out about this i realized i don't have to do it anymore because you're nothing but a bunch of liars with fake smiles and horrible morals."
