Chapter 16

As we lay on the grass , the cold seethes up thru my Back and we catch our breaths .

The stars look amazing from this angle, I had never noticed how bright they were before .

Suddenly his hand finds mine and he intwines our fingers together .

I smile and I turn my head towards him , he just stares up at the Sky but I see the smile playing on his lips .

I watch him for a bit and he looks so carefree .
He's looks kind of beautiful ..

"What are you thinking About?" he asks but he doesn't look at me thou he gives my hand a little squeeze In his .

"You were drinking today when i met you and probably high , Why do you abuse drugs all the time?" I ask quietly and he swallows the lump in his throat.

"That's what your thinking about ? " he asks quietly in surprise .

"Yes " I reply and I turn my head away and I stare back up at the bright stars .

"And you don't like how it makes you feel too ? " He replies but I don't answer .

"Drugs may be the road to nowhere but at least it's the scenic route " he mutters and laughs lightly .

"You think your headed Nowhere ? That's stupid .. " I scoff but he doesn't reply .

"Why don't you change that ? Everybody can change .. Even Evie can change if she really wanted too" I whisper .

"Its not as simple as that , if you don't like what you see you change it , if you can't change it then you change your attitude " he replies .

"Progress can't happen without change , if you can't change your frame of mind then you can't change anything " I whisper .

"Progress is a nice word but change has its enemies " he replies darkly .

"Why are you so dark all the time ? Why is my sister is messed up ? Something is wrong " I reply with a heavy sigh .

"You don't know me " he replies bitterly and it's surprises me .
I pull my hand from his grip and sit up.

"I need to go home" i whisper quietly and he sits up aburtly .

"Why ? " he asks with a raised voice .

"Or at least get back to Ben's and get Evie , she might be wondering where i am" I reply hurredily and i take a stand .
I wipe down the back of my jeans with my hand and i run my fingers thru my hair .

"No offence love but Im pretty sure Evie couldnt get a shit where you are " he scoffs and i gape at him .

" I mean she's going to notice our absence and realise that we have taken off but lets face it she knows nothing will happen with you and i , i dont do virgins sweetheart " he replies slyly before he laughs loudly .

"I wouldnt want you any where near me any way" i snap and i walk away while sighing heavily taking off in the direction of my house , well i hope its in that direction .

"Riley wait ? Come back you can't go home ? " he snaps and he grabs my wrist pulling me to a stop . I yank his hard grip off me and i glare at him .

"And why not " I snap at him .

"Its your eyes they are red and droppy , your pupils are huge ! it's very obivous that you have taken something , your not very good at hiding it But go on home to mommy and Daddy if you'd like im not stopping you " he smirks and he turns to walk away .

"Ben's then " I Snap and he stops short.

" We can't just walk back into Ben's , its 12 am " he replies and he starts walking away again .
