It's been almost been eight months since I've met the troublesome boy named Jacin, it's been four months since the boy started calling me his. And these past eight months have been the best I've ever had. Barren Kade has faded into the past and the death of my mother still stings but it's not as bad as it used to be with Jacin to chase away my thoughts. We were currently at our meeting place The Coffé. I was wandering the shelves while Jacin ordered our morning usual. It's a rainy day and you can smell the sweet scent of fresh the rain on the grass when you walked outside. Jacin returned with my coffee and we went to our usual spot by the window. Slowly we had started to fill the window seal with flowers and succulents. I watched the people walk by the shop window while slowly sipping my german chocolate coffee. I could feel Jacins stare and I could feel my cheeks heating up.
"Hey Re-" He was interrupted by the shop bell ringing notifying everyone of a customer.
"REBEL" the man yelled upon entering the shop. My head shot from its original position on the window to the person who's popped my bubble of calm.
"Rebel! I am talking to you!"
"Barren.......why are you here?" I asked carefully like he was a wild bear that could mual me at any second. I stood up and I didn't realize that Jacin had stepped behind me and wrapped an arm around me until Barren took a step forward and Jay pushed me behind him.
"I'm here to ask you, not the ginger, what you're planning"
"What do you mean 'planning'"
"I mean you've been leaving me alone for months, you let me win the election, it's been driving me insane I know you're up to something"
"Wait what?"
"Rebe-"
"I think you've said enough Kade, Rebel and I were just leaving" Jacin stepped in and pulled me out of the Coffé. I was quiet the entire walk to his house and I stayed quiet until Jay had finally had enough of it.
"Okay Rebel what's going on in that pretty little head" He asked. He seemed a bit on edge and his voice crack just slightly when he said my name. Thinking about Barren made me wonder why Jacin had bothered to talk to me at all. Why did Barren have such a hatred for Jay. What happened between them.
"Jay....what happened between you and Barren?"
"What do you mean?"
"What happened between you and Barren. Something had to have happened for him to have such an burning hate towards you..."
"He....started a chain of events that sent my parents and I scrambling for a place to stay. He fired my dad and he bought our house from under us. I've been trying to get back at him since."
"Is that why you talked to me in first place, Jay?"
"Rebel what's this about?"
"Answer me Jay. Was that why you talked to me in the first place? To get back at Barren?"
"I-yes, but Rebel it's ch-" he started to say something but I had already stormed out the door. I don't have a lot of people other than Jay but I do have someone that I could go to.
Walking down the road to Tyler's house. I've been friends with him since he moved here from France. He was an emo type of guy with dark hair and fair skin. Freckles and ocean blue eyes and a small understanding of how americans work. It's adorable really he's so dorky but he could definitely beat someone in a fight.
"Ty? You here?"
"Ya, hello Rebel."
"Hey Ty, are you busy?"
"No, come on in"
"Thank you" After explaining the last eight months to Tyler and crying for a while I finally came to a conclusion that I was being used for revenge. The thought made my blood boil and my tears flow. Tyler was rubbing circles on my back and I finally slipped into a restful sleep with Tyler wiping away my tears.
Jacins POV
I think I lost her. I wasn't meaning to get so attached to her. And I had forgotten about Barren and my original intention. But I wasn't smart enough to chase after her and I have no clue where she was. I've tried texting and calling but she didn't pick up. The rain had stopped a while ago but the skies were still gray and cloudy. I had started crying a little bit after she had left. I've already checked her house but she was nowhere to be found. Slumping beside her door and I had let my head loll back against the worn door frame and let sleep overcome  me.
