Jisu was on her way home from the craft store when she found a cardboard box with two cats inside.
It wasn't raining, and the sun was just beginning to set. It was still the evening, but it was extremely windy.
Jisu looked into the box, immediately paying attention to the black cat that stood up on all fours.
The black cat stood in front a smaller blonde cat that seemed to be weak and shivering. Jisu curiously peered at the two cats.
She tightened her arm around the rolls of blue design paper that was stuck in her armpit. She reached her hand forward into the box, but was immediately scratched by the black cat.
Jisu winced in pain, but continued to reach for the sick blonde cat. The black cat didn't like what she was doing, and continued to hurt her hand and arm.
Jisu cradled the blonde cat in her arm, peering at its shivering figure.
"Hey, buddy," she whispered, "are you okay? Let me bring you home and take care of you."
The black cat hissed. Jisu bent down to the black cat and tried to pet him. He dodged her hand, but she continued to try.
"Let me help you guys," she told the black cat. "Your friend is sick."
The black cat glanced at his friend in her arm. He finally let Jisu pet him. Jisu smiled, gently picking up the black cat.
The black cat immediately snuggled up to the blonde cat. Jisu hummed to herself, taking ome final glance at their cardboard home before walking away.
