The sun was shining and birds were chirping happily. Clarke felt herself being pulled from blissful sleep by the sounds of reality. Campers were already awake and going about their day but Clarke couldn't seem to find the energy to pull herself out of bed. That and she didn't want to untangle herself from Bellamy, who slept soundly beside her. She took the opportunity to look at him. He looked peaceful and content. For once he looked like he wasn't worried about anything.
"Stop staring at me." Bellamy mumbled sleepily.
"How did you know I was staring at you?" Clarke chuckled.
Bellamy's eyes fluttered opened slowly. After all this time, Clarke still got butterflies in her stomach when he looked at her with those piercing brown eyes. His arm wrapped around her waist under the blanket and he pulled her closer to him.
"Because I know you." Bellamy smirked at her.
"We should really get up. We need to start restocking for winter." Clarke told him but she made no sign of moving.
"You don't need blankets, we have body heat." Bellamy grinned at her.
Clarke rolled her eyes and playfully swatted at his stomach.
"You know what I mean. We need food and any medical supplies we can find." Clarke said.
Bellamy could tell there was something else she wanted to add. He knew what it was she wanted to add too. Clarke wasn't talking about finding the ark because she didn't want to upset him again and Bellamy felt guilty. He didn't want to be the reason Clarke never found out what happened to her mom. She would only end up resenting him.
"That's not all we need to find. We've got a whole spaceship to find before winter kicks in." Bellamy sighed. Clarke's eyes widened as she realised what he had said.
"You mean?" Clarke said as she propped herself on her elbow.
"On one condition!" Bellamy said, stopping her.
"What?"
"The second we get back, we get married." Bellamy said raising a brow.
"I have a better idea." Clarke grinned.
"What's that?" He smiled.
"Let's do it tomorrow, before we go." Clarke said as she leant down to kiss him.
"Don't you want to wait until we find the others?" Bellamy asked.
"No. I just want you. I don't care who else is there." Clarke whispered.
"Don't let Octavia hear you say that." Bellamy chuckled as he pulled her down to him. "You really think we can pull this off in a day?"
"We don't need anything special, just each other." Clarke shrugged.
"You can tell my sister. I can't handle anymore squealing." Bellamy told her and Clarke threw her head back with laughter.
"We'll do it together. Everyone knows we're engaged, they just don't know when the actual day is." Clarke chuckled.
Eventually they pulled themselves out of bed and got dressed. Clarke and Bellamy walked to the dropship together to find Octavia. Bellamy had his arm around Clarke's shoulders as he guided her around camp. As they thought, Octavia was wondering through rows of patients, helping them drink water and eat food. She stood up sharply as she saw Bellamy and Clarke enter.
"Well look who's finally up!" Octavia teased.
"Morning to you too." Clarke smiled.
"What brings you love birds here?" Octavia asked with a smile.
