Promise Me: A PDH AU

Whats going on?

     Another day at Phoenix Drop High School, fun. I stumbled out of bed and started picking out an outfit. I'm so glad that they got rid of uniforms. They wanted us to have more 'freedom of expression'. Big mistake PDH. I put on a pink overall dress over a gray long sleeves turtle neck sweater. I grabbed my bag and started my way to school.

"Hey y/n!" A high-pitched voice said from behind me.

     I turned around. It was Aphmau, one of my best friends. Garroth and Laurence trailed behind her, my other two amazing best friends. They were what you would call my 'squad'. Along with Katelyn, Travis and a couple others. We tried to help Travis out with being more social, but it didn't go too well. And Katelyn's Katelyn and we don't have to explain much cause she'll punch me-

"Hey Aph. Oh, hey Garroth and Laurence!" I said flashing a warm smile.

They smiled and waved. We walked to school together and went up the stairs. We split up for classes. This was the usual routine. I left for my first class, Science. It was just down the hall of the schools entrance. Luckily, Katelyn also had Science as her first class so I wouldn't be lonely. But, we also had some perverts in the class, *cough* Gene *cough*. With Katelyn there, it wasn't so bad. She'd punch him every once in awhile for me. I walked into the classroom and sat at my desk. I felt like it was going to be a great day.

I was walking down the stairwell when someone rudely bumped into me. I tripped, trying to gain balance, and slid down the stairs. On the last step my head flung back and hit the rough, cold cement stair. Then I blacked out, probably having a concussion.

I opened my eyes and saw the nurse. I looked down at my clothes. This isn't what I left my house in, and my hair seemed different as well. What's going on?

"You're awake. You can leave when you're ready." The nurse nervously said.

     It was like she was scared of me, waiting for me to leave. I sat up and glanced over my surroundings. After a minute or two, I got up and left. Almost instantly after I left, a girl walked- more like ran, up to me. She looked familiar to me but I couldn't pin the name.

"Oh my Irene y/n! You had Garroth, Laurence, and I worried. We thought you might of had gotten in a coma or something." She said, pulling me into a hug. She sounded so much like Aphmau. Wait. Could it be- no. There's no way.

"Aphmau?" I asked.

"What? Wanna go to the coffee shop again?" She questioned. How could this be my sweet, innocent Aphmau...She looked so different.

(Eh, still pretty hot. I'm underage, I can say that about highschoolers.)

"C'mon! I'll text Laurence and Garroth to meet us. But, we need to stop by my house and put on something sexy." She emphasized sexy. What in the name of Irene is happening.

She took my hand and led me out of the school. As we exited, I heard the school bell go off. Then loud voices. I realized, school isn't over yet...

We were skipping....

     I didn't have anymore time to think cause Aphmau pulled me into her house. How we managed a twenty minute walk so fast I have no clue on. The power of distraction strikes again.

"Mija! You have got to stop skipping! But I can't blame you..." Sylvanna said.

"We just came for a change of clothes, mom." Aph replied and led me upstairs. Once we got in her room, she grabbed some clothes and shove them in my hands. I went to the bathroom and took a look. WHAT!?!??

I walked out and examined Aphmau's choice of clothing. Oh no, no, no! Uh, uh. Not my Aphmau! Not in that.

     What even is that? She started walking out so I followed her. I'm too confused to be alone right now. At least there's some kind of trust I can have with Aphie.

"What? Don't you wanna impress the guys?" She asked, noticing my judgement over her clothing choice.

"Whatever..." I replied.

She was being weird. Maybe the guys would help me knock sense into her. We arrived at the cafe and sat down at a booth. Then waited till the guys got here.

"Hey y/n. Garroth said that him and Laurence were bringing some friends. Ok." She said.

"That's fine with me." I replied.

Aphmau propped her feet up on the table. We received multiple dirty looks from people but Aph only laughed. I pulled out my phone and messed with SnapChat filters. I got bored and started putting them on random, unsuspecting bystanders. The door opened and four guys walked in. They started towards us and smiled. I instantly recognized them. My jaw dropped as they silently approached, eyeing us up and down.
