(A/N hey y'all, it's Haley. I know that you probably hate these author's notes with a burning passion. But they're necessary, and I need to thank you guys! Thanks so so so much for 620 reads on Long Distance. To me, that is so surreal. Anyway, I have decided to write an epilogue...in Lexi's point of view! After this, Long Distance will officially be over. So this will be the last time you hear from me! But I'll always be here...remember that if you ever want to message me, I'd love to talk!

So, thanks guys for everything! I love my readers so much! And I hope you enjoy the epilogue! (:

"DO WE NEED any milk?" Landon asks.

I stare at him. "Landon, we're about to go on a two week vacation. We can't get milk, it'd go bad."

"Right."

He pushes the cart further down the aisle, with me riding on and clinging to the handle, his arms on either side of me.

"Ooh, those look good," Landon says, reaching for a box of pre-made cookies. I sigh, bringing my palm to my face. This is what I get for bringing Landon to the grocery store with me.

"Babe, look at our cart."

He peers down into the basket, then glances back up at me. "What about it?"

"It is literally full of crap food. Can't we get anything healthy? Like an apple?"

Landon shrugs. "Sure."

We came to the store to buy a few things to hold us over until our trip to New Zealand, and also for the little party we're having tonight, but of course, Landon has filled our cart with every kind of cookie, brownie, and pastry imaginable.

He steers me over to the produce aisle, and I grab a few fruits to place in the cart. The store is decorated for Christmas, which is only a week and a half away. In four days, he and I are leaving to go to New Zealand. I haven't told Austin about the trip yet; I want to surprise him, like he surprised me back in September.

School is out for Christmas break, and I have spent every second of my break that I'm not working, preparing for our vacation. Excitement doesn't begin to describe the way I feel about finally getting to go back home.

My parents are sad, of course, that I am not spending Christmas with them...but they understand that I need to go back home, to see my old friends, and the people who became my family while growing up.

Landon pushes the cart and I to the check-out line, and I begin to pile our unhealthy food onto the conveyor belt. Once we are checked out, he and I carry the bags out to Landon's black Jeep, and begin loading them into the trunk.

Then, a tall girl with wavy, shoulder-length brown hair climbs out of a car a few spots down from us, and begins walking to the store. She's very pretty, well-dressed, and looks to be about my age, maybe a year older. Something about her looks familiar, though I'm sure I've never seen her before.

When Landon spots the girl, he freezes. A look of utmost shock crosses his face.

"Oh, my God," he says softly. I stare at him, wondering what on earth is going on in his head. Who is this girl?

As the girl walks past us, I think she notices Landon staring, because she looks over at us and gives a weak smile. Then she stops, staring, her eyes widening with recognition.

Confused, I begin to ponder the possibilities. Ex-girlfriend? Old friend? Who could she be?

"Landon?" she girl says in amazement. She takes a step closer, taking off her sunglasses. "Is that you?"
