Mitch's POV.
I stared at my beautiful fiancé.
"What are you staring at?" Scott asked.
I smiled a little.
"Can't I stare at my handsome fiancé?" I chuckled.
Scott blushed deeply.
"Stop. You're making me blush!" Scott smiled shyly.
"That's one of the many things why I want to marry you." I giggled.
"Oh? What else?" Scott asked curiously.
"Too much. You're the love of my life!" I smiled.
"You're mine too. Who would have thought... When I saw you asleep the first day, I already was in awe of your beauty." Scott told me.
"Stop it. Now you're making me blush. We went for it huh." I said.
"Yeah, we went pretty fast. It was so weird. Because, well... We both have had sucky relationship experiences, yet we cuddled very fast. It was a couple days after we've met, right?" Scott said.
"Yeah, I think so. It felt right. I also was amazed by how I felt instantly safe with you, I still do." I smiled as I squeezed Scott's hand softly.
"Thanks. That means a lot. I wanna treat you right." Scott smiled.
"Believe me... You do." I chuckled.
I took a sip of my coffee and grabbed my cellphone.
"Smile." I said.
Scott looked up and I took a pic of him.
"Hey, I wasn't ready!" Scott laughed.
"I know. I love those pictures of you. They are adorable!" I giggled as I set the pic as my phone background.
"Let me see." Scott said as he leaned closer to check it.
"Adorable!" I smiled and I pecked Scott's lips.
"Excuse me, Sir." Someone said.
I looked next to me and I saw a little girl, she must have been like 10 years old, standing next to me with a paper in her hand.
"Hello, girl." I smiled.
"Hi. U-Umm... D-Do you want to buy a paper from me?" She stuttered.
"Aww, don't be scared. Of course I want to buy a paper from you. Actually... Two please." I said.
The eyes of the little girl lit up, I melted.
"Really?! Mommy! Mommy! This sir wants to buy TWO PAPERS from me!" The girl yelled as she ran to the woman behind her.
"Oh, be blessed." The woman said.
"We're able to stay the night in the homeless unit now!" The girl jumped.
My heart broke, now knowing that these people were homeless.
"Hey, girl. You know what? I'm gonna buy one paper from you, but I'll pay you 20 bucks for it. So, you're able to sleep safe for one week." I told the girl.
Her mom sobbed and hugged me tight.
"Oh. It's okay. You need it more than me." I chuckled.
The little girl stood on her tiptoes and kissed my cheek shyly.
"A literal angel." Scott whispered.
I smiled at Scott. I paid the girl and took the paper.
"Come. The owner will get mad if he sees us here. Thank you, enjoy your day." The woman said.
"You've made their day." Scott said.
"They too deserve to be happy." I said.
"I saw your eyes sparkle when you looked at the little girl. Do you want kids someday?" Scott asked.
"After we're married, yes. I do want kids. Just 2. A boy and a girl." I smiled.
"Sounds lovely." Scott said.
"Yeah. You would be a great dad." I smiled as I read the paper.
I saw an article and my smile faded away.
"Mitchy? Are you okay? You look so pale suddenly." Scott asked concerned.
"N-No. I-I'm not." I stuttered.
I felt panic running through my vains.
"What's wrong, beautiful?" Scott asked as he held my hand.
"H-Henry just got out of jail..." I whispered.
