How can I love?

Chapter Three

I scratched its head as it purred with delight leaning closer, I smiled happily never actually being able to enjoy my self well working, it was really nice. 

' ' ah they really like you how nice ' ' she said excited leaning in closer to me to pat the small creature more.

' ' iv'e always been good with animals don't know why though ' ' I admitted, I glanced around looking at my surroundings. The room was small, a smaller kitchen squeezed in, two rooms across the room most likely a bedroom and bathroom,  there wasn't much furniture in the room we were in. there was a two couches, a coffee table with books, a desk huddled in the corner with papers covering the desk, and few tables sprinkled around.

Its small but nice and calm ' ' its getting late I can order some dinner and set up your bed or would you mind sleeping with me? ' ' Lizzy asked me.

 ''no i'll just sleep on the couch '' I answered getting up. It was awkward to think of that and kinda embarrassing.clearing my head I grab the phone '' what should I order or what do you want? '' I asked looking over at Liz. 

''pizza!'' she said loudly her arms in the air excited, ''what on it?'' I asked again ''ummmmm how about~ Hawaiian? what about you?'' she replied smiling joyfully. ''me huh? um could I get a cheese'' I asked as she nodded.

Ordering the pizza I started on my bed on the couch it looked uncomfortable but I wont mind. we got the pizza and started eating chatting in between.

it had been a month later I have still lied that my memory's blank to Liz, were so much closer then before its nice to have such a good friend or any friends. I have decided to tell Liz about everything...... most things.

''Oh hey Liz'' I said lounging on the couch as she walked in tired from work. ''Hey'' she smiled weakly dropping her things next to the door and walking next to me. she flopped on top of me, she was light and didn't hurt much. 

''hah~ so nice, your like my own life sized teddy'' she sighed looking up at me her adorable smile as always.

''So Liz can I tell you somethin?'' I asked looking back down, ''Iv'e been lying to you for so long that it hurts'' I admitted.

it would be best to tell her now then never ''what do you mean'' she questioned concerned.

''I lied to the police'' I said ''I remember everything- eh actually I've changed my mind on telling you'' I said leaning back ''WHAT!'' she yelled her eyes widened.

''um yeah'' I said, I don't think I'm ready actually I could um. 

''well I was in a shady company'' I paused brushing through her hair, 'soft as always' I thought for a second. ''well uh I'm not who you think I am I'm an awful man... I've done bad things so many '' I continued. taking my hand away she sighed, she looked shocked but shook it off smiling warmly.

she grabbed my hand quickly her two small hands cupped around mine. she crawled closer sitting up, she leaned closer with a determined expression. ''I-I.... I love you!'' she gasped, my eyes widened.

''you gotta be joking!'' I stuttered with a small shaken smile. sitting up I placed my hand on her cheek but quickly regretted it and placed it gently on my lap.

I gulped looking at her softly studying her appearance, she had pale skin, light blue eyes, long black hair that was down to her hips, and normally wore blue. one of the most beautiful creatures I've faced.
