Lily's POV: "Okay can I make a change of plans and have the cake delivered?"I asked.
"Depends on where the place is and at what time."the employee said.
"*random address* and the time would be around 8 pm."i said.
"Okay sounds like a plan!"the employee said.
"Oh my god thank you! Okay see you at 8. Bye."I said.
I ended the call and sighed in relief. I was at the guest house where the party would take place. It was beautiful and big. I started decorating and then the doorbell rung. I walked to the door and opened it, it was Landon. I gave him a quick hug and welcomed him in.

"Damn how'd you get this house?"he asked stunned.
"My manager has connections."I said.
He nodded while looking at the interior. He placed down his keys and phone and went to help me decorate.
3:17 pm.
My phone started to ring I grabbed it and saw that it was Skies. I quickly answered it and took a deep breath.
"Hey!"i said too cheerful.
"Why are you so happy?"he asked.
"Oh-um-well- what are you doing?"i asked stuttering.
"Nothing much i was wondering where you went so early?"he asked.
"I went to another doctors appointment because something went wrong with the last appointment and they just had to straighten that out."i said.
"Alright when will you be back?"he asked.
"Um in like an hour."I said.
"Alright see you then."he said.
"Oh I almost forgot we have plans tonight so dress nice, well like you were going to a party."i said.
"Okay."he said with no emotion.
I hung up and it stung my heart knowing that he thought that I forgot about his birthday. I told Landon that Madi would arrive any minute and that I had to leave. He nodded and I ran to my car quickly starting it and leaving.
I drove to my apartment and I walked inside. Skies was on the couch watching something on the tv. I ran to him and jumped on him. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"I yelled.
I kissed his face over and over again. He chuckled and wrapped his arms around my waist. He kissed my lips and I brought my hands up to cup his face. I kissed his lips and pulled away. Our foreheads were touching, "happy birthday babe." I said.
He smiled and kissed me again. "Thanks Ma."
I placed my head on his chest and I took a deep breath. My eyelids started to get heavier and heavier, which was harder and harder to keep them open. I soon just gave up and shut my eyelids, and I doze off.
