That made my heart flutter and fall for him all over again. I didn't know what to do, I was speechless.
"What about Skylar?"I asked above a whisper.
"She doesn't matter at this point. Just say the word, and I'll break up with her for us to be a family again."he said.
The worst part was that he was holding our child. Kace laid his head against his chest and smiled at me.
"You can't do this to Skylar."I said.
He walked up to me and cupped my cheek.
"I'm not doing anything, I'm just sharing my thoughts and feelings."he said.
Kace brought his arms towards me. I grabbed him and kissed him. "Skies this is too fast."
"We'll take our time. I'll wait for you Lily."he said.
I smiled at him and he smiled at me. He kissed Kace's forehead and looked at me.
"Just keep in mind what I said."he smiled.
I nodded and then he let himself out. I took a deep breath that I didn't know I was holding in.
'Why does this always happen to me?'I thought.
I locked the door and then headed to Kace's room. I set him down in his crib and looked for some pjs. I got some and I walked over and changed him. I soon finished and then we walked back to the kitchen to give him some medicine.
I then fed him and burped him. I walked back to his room and set him in his crib. I read to him a little and he soon started to fall asleep. I turned on a little night light and put a small blanket over his tummy.
I kissed him and smiled. I closed the door quietly and walked to the living room. Soon there was a small knock on the door. I furrowed my eyebrows and wondered who it was.
I opened it and it was Skies but drenched in water. He looked at me and smiled.
"I got out of my uber and ran back here because I forgot something."he said.
He got closer and cupped my face and kissed me. I was surprised but I kissed him back. I brought him into the apartment and and I wrapped my arms around his neck.
I wrapped my legs around his waist and he walked us over to the couch. He laid me down and pulled away.
"I love you Lily."
"I love you too Kimetrius."
