To Love or Not to Love

Midnight Training; Midnight Snack

Dante's POV

The minute we got out of our last class Ryker and I raced back to our room, got dressed, and headed out where the others were already waiting for us. "Hey guys," Riley greeted us first. "Keen and Yorkie are speaking with Professor Wilger now but will be out in a minute."

We all were sitting on the grass when the three came out of a door. "Hello students." Professor Wilger was an awesome teacher. Unlike most he let us stay out late to watch training. "Keen, Yorkie, take your stance." The two stood facing each other; ten feet a part. "Now, feel your wolf moving inside you, let themm come out without actually bringing the wolf out."

We watched in awe as Keen's eyes turned a dark black while Yorkie's turned a deep blue. Their fingernails grew and a light surrounded them: Keen black Yorkie blue. "Alright now, begin."

The two charged each other, throwing punches, kicks. It looked like a light show as the lights moved with their movement. For being clumsy Yorkie was very graceful as she dodged each of Keen's attacks. Keen seemed more huge as he pounced at Yorkie. It did not bother us each time they came into contact with each other since they were quick healers and they were not truly fighting each other. We watched for about half an hour before Yorkie threw Keen on the ground and had her fist ready to go. "Well done, excellent you two." They turned back to normal and smiled at each other.

"That was amazing," Ever shouted. The rest of us cheered. When Yorkie helped Keen up they did playful bows. "Thank you thank you, we'll be here all night." Everyone laughed, even Professor Wilger.

"It was excellent, unfortuantely that is all since I have a meeting I forgot about. Class dismissed." We waved as he ran off.

"I don't want to go back just yet." Ty whined.

Riley rolled her eyes. "We don' have to."

As Keen and Yorkie walked towards us Ryker jumped up and looked towards the gate that led out the school. "Ryker?" We all were up with wonder when Ryker gasped. We all turned to the gate and we too gasped.

A vampire, a female vampire, was walking towards us with a smile on her face that was creepy as her eyes were wide and red. "Mystical and human blood, it is my lucky day." She said in a scratchy voice.

Ryker got in front as his hands turned to flames. "Just have to cut off your head and burn the body." Yorkie and Keen stood behind him. Makoto looked ready to fight but I held him down, not wanting him to get in this.

The vampire laughed which sounded like a gurgling noise. "You three will not defeat me."

"Enough." Suddenly Diana appeared in between us and the vampire. She looked different now; her hair was down and she wore a short purple dress and purple heals. She pointed at the vampires. "You are on private property. You will turn around and leave."

The vampire laughed again. "You have no authority here. But I am glad to have found you, since you are the queen's personal secretary." Diana glared, showing her fangs. "I have more authority than you. Leave now or I will kill you."

"Like you can." Who was this chick? "I can smell the queen, she is near. She smells so delicious." We watched as she sniffed the hair and moaned.

"How dare you." Diana charged at the vampire and kicked her in the stomach. The vampire flew to the ground but then another one appeared and punched Diana in the face, sending her flying to us. "Shit, she has a mate." A mate? I think I fell asleep when she explained that.

"As you can see you can not defeat the two of us," the male vampire laughed. "Just tell us where the queen is and we will leave."

Diana jumped up. "Never."

They smirked and was about to pounce when they stopped and smelt the air and moaned together; gross. "Such a wonderful smell of a human, we must find it."

They did not have to look far. Walking onto the courtyard was none other than Trinity Bonnett.

Why the hell is she here? She really did have a death sentence. She didn't look scared though as she walked towards us, stopping about three feet away from us. She looked between the two. "Go back to your room." Diana shouted; in her voice was worry.

Trinity shook her head. "I can not have you fighting them alone." Did she really think she could fight these vampires? She's a freaking human! "I'll be OK."

"So you are the one with the lovely smell." Trinity looked at the two. "We are going to drink ever last drop of your blood."

Trinity did something none of us expected, she smiled. "That's a laugh, I would like to see you try."

"Do something, she is going to get herself killed." Ash whispered to Diana but she stood there. Makoto stretched over to see and fell back in ease. What is going on?

The vampires laughed. "Such fire, let's drink her quick." The two began stalking towards Trinity.

I didn't know what to do. None of us wanted to see Trinity die in front of us but everytime we made a move to go help her Diana got in our way and pushed us back. She wanted Trinity to die? Was this because of what she said about the queen?

And then Trinity narrowed her eyes in a menacing way. "It is vampires like you that give our kind a bad name." Our kind? Did she just say our kind?

The vampires stopped in a moment of confusion. and in that time we all stared in horror as Trinity hissed at them; her eyes glowed a dark red.
