[Renjun POV]
"Is this a good idea..?" Renjun was seriously still doubting that Jaemin's idea would work.
"We're just investigating!" Jaemin smiled. "Besides, you're sweet for worrying about them."
Renjun blushed.
Oh jisoos.
How would he survive living with this guy?
"It's pretty odd to find out if people like each other by playing Volleyball Jaemin," Jeno stretched.
It was about 6 PM currently, and Jaemin had invited Mark and Haechan to a game of volleyball in the dorm gym. They were now stretching on the gym floor, waiting for Haechan and Mark to find the volleyball net somewhere the trio wasn't familiar with.
The two accepted the game offer and took it as a get-to-know-you game from Jeno and Jaemin. Little did they know, Jaemin actually was pretty clever in his ideas.
"Look, we can get close to them and check their feelings at the same time," Jaemin explained.
"How?" Renjun still wasn't sure about this.
"Mark-hyung seems like the type to hate touching and skinship," Jaemin smiled. "But Haechan seems like the type to be cool with it. So why don't we just try that first?"
"Try what exactly...?" Jeno asked.
"Easy. Make Mark jelly," Jaemin shrugged.
Renjun was shocked, "How are you so confident?"
"Because I'm not doing the touching," Jaemin grinned. "I'm also not the child actor."
"Yah! You're asking me to do this?!" Jeno exclaimed. "Are you crazy---"
"Guys! We found it!" Mark and Haechan were carrying the volleyball net and metal poles.
"Just try!" Jaemin pat Jeno on the back. "You're amazing, acting or being yourself."
Jeno's face went from annoyed to flustered at Jaemin in two seconds. The older boy's cheeks flushed at the younger. Renjun raised his brow. They seemed like a couple yet...
Where were their strings?
Renjun made a mental note to investigate. First, to investigate the about the two. Second, to find out why his ability wasn't working.
"Hey guys, I'd be great if you could help us out here~" Mark was struggling to put the metal poles into the gym floor.
"Oh? Sure," Jeno walked over causally and proceeded to make Mark look like a toddler as he easily slid the heavy pole into place and locked it in.
Jeno smiled, humbly proud at himself.
"Wow... He's strong..." Renjun commented.
"Isn't he?" Jaemin stood beside him, softly smiling. "He's really good at badminton and soccer. Though he never admits being superior."
Renjun looked at Jaemin, "Wow, you're a big fan of him."
"Is it that obvious?" Jaemin chuckled. "Or are you just jealous, cutie?"
Wha--
"N-no!" Renjun ran ahead to help the other boys set up the net.
"Aha," Jaemin grinned. "He's adorable..."
---
"Okay! Who wants to be with who?" Jaemin gathered them once the net was set up.
"I'll be scorekeeper to even things out," Renjun volunteered.
