*Four Years Later*
Momo's pov
Four years have passed since I met my new family and my best friend. Over the years, Kaien opened a school for both humans and vampires. I was nervous about the idea at first, but I know that nothing would happen to us. Ever since my first encounter with Kaname, Zero has been helping me with my fear of vampires. I've gotten good at it, but for four years, Zero is by my side every time there is a vampire outside or inside our house. Over those past four years, I have grown feeling for the silvered hair boy. Yuki has been falling for Kaname more and more each day that passes by. Zero and I can't entirely agree, but It's none of our business, nor do we have the right to tell Yuki to she can or cannot like someone. Since we know the secret about the night class, Zero, Yuki, and I have a job called "the disciplinary committee." Kaien got us all weapons to fight any vampire that comes into school grounds or breaks the rules, and we have to threaten them. Zero has a bloody rose gun, Yuki has a staff called Artemis rode, while I have a katana and throwing knives. Today was like any other day. Yuki and Zero were late, leaving me to fight the crazy fangirls by myself. The next thing I know, I heard that familiar whistle that Yuki uses all the time. I looked up front to see that she was shouting out orders to the girls, but it wasn't working for her very well. The gates opened, and all the girls got in lines while bowing their heads. I rolled my eyes while letting out a tired sigh. Yuki took care of the group of girls behind me while I took care of the other group. I saw that Yuki got pushed by one of the girls because they were trying to get to Aido.
"Ah!" Yuki gasped in surprise
Everyone went silent and stayed in place when they saw Kaname helping Yuki off the ground. Yuki's face went red, making me roll my eyes while shaking my head. She's just as bad as these fangirls. In a blink of an eye, Kaname was right next to me, making me freeze. I immediately moved away from him, looking at him with a nervous glance.
"Is something wrong, Momo?" Kaname questioned
"Nothing that you need to know about Kaname," I informed him
I saw that Yuki was watching us with worried eyes. I looked back at Kaname, and he stepped a little close to me for comfort. I gulped, and my breathing started getting heavy. He put his hand on my shoulder, making my body go into a panic. My body started trembling, and my throat closed up.
"Are you sure, Momo?" Kaname questioned,
"Z-Zero," I whispered
I covered my mouth when I felt the familiar metallic taste. I can't do this in front of everyone, especially vampires. I felt someone pull me into their chest, making me tense up. I felt the familiar gun against my back, making my body start to relax. Zero was holding Kaname's writ while holding me into his chest.
"Zero," Yuki said worriedly.
He just glared at her and Kaname, making her go quiet.
"Your class has begun, Kaname." Zero said emotionless, "You don't want to be late."
He let go of Kaname's wrist just as he ripped it out of his grasp.
"So, scary, Mr. Disciplinary Committee." Kaname mocked Zero as he walked away
I felt Zero's grip on me tighten, and I look at him, concerned as I put my hand on his chest, making him look at me in the corner of his eye. I gave him a smile letting him know that I'm, alright making him nod his head before looking at the vampires until they leave. Two girls ran over to Kaname, giving him a present and a rose. He thanked them before walking away with the rest of the night class; Zero looked at the fangirls and growled. He let go of me before yelling-
"YOU ALL NEED TO GET BACK TO YOUR DORMS RIGHT NOW!" Zero screamed
The girls screamed while running away from our scary friend. When they were out of earshot, Zero started telling us his annoyance about the fangirls.
"Every day, they are out here screaming and calling-" He was cut off by Yuki punching him.
"Why are you acting cocky, you big jerk?!" Yuki questions angrily, "You're late; it's our job as the disciplinary committee to set an example!"
I watched as Zero used his tallness to his advantage while he pushed Yuki back with his hand on her head, keeping Yuki from punching him.
"Oh, yeah. Well, I can say the same thing about you. You're so obvious; it's pathetic." Zero said disgustedly
Yuki froze while looking at him, confused. Zero put his arm down before wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
"Listen, it's none of our business whether you like that guy or not. But you do know, right?" Zero questions
I saw the look that, Zero was giving me. It was the "we're talking about this, later," and I immediately looked down at my feet.
"Oh, shut up. Of course, I know." Yuki said while looking away from us and looked towards the direction the vampires went
I looked up at, Zero only to see an annoyed look go across his face before he yelled-
"Then stop letting him go near, Momo! Now she has to take her medicine!" Zero said angrily
Yuki gave me an apologetic look before lowering her head. I put my hand on, Zero's chest making him look at me.
"I'm fine, I promise. You got there before it got too serious." I said, giving him a reassuring smile
He sighed as he closed his eyes.
"Fine, but you're still taking it." Zero ordered stubbornly, "At least we know that it still works."
I giggled at his stubbornness.
"Deal." I said, "Come on, let's report to the headmaster before our shifts start."
While walking, Zero and I were talking about him helping me with some homework later on. It went from homework to Zero, teasing me about how I suck at math.
Yuki's pov
I was watching, Zero and Momo have their normal conversation before our shift. I smiled at the sight. Ever since she came into our lives, Zero has been protective over her. What Kaien and I think is funny is that they have a lot in common. They have the same path, same likes, and even have the same hair and eye color. I don't know what else they have in common, but I'm sure they have everything in common. I was jealous at first because Zero let her in his walls before I could get in. It took me two to three years to get in. After I started getting feelings for, Kaname I didn't care anymore. I'm just happy that they have each other.
