Momo's pov
Akatsuki quickly turns around with a tired face.
"Hanabusa," Akatsuki called
I heard a chain rattling making me sigh in relief. Yuki pointed her Artemis rode at Akatsuki while Zero pointed his bloody rose at Hanabusa's head.
"Drinking human blood is against school rules and is forbidden on school property," Yuki said
"Has the smell of blood made you lose control, vampire," Zero said with his eyes narrowed.
I heard Hanabusa chuckle, "But I've already tasted her." He said while licking his lips
Zero's eyes widened before a gunshot went off, making Hanabusa push me away from him. I closed my eyes, waiting for the impact. Instead, I felt someone catch me, making me slowly open my eyes to see the familiar grey eyes that belong to Zero staring worriedly at me.
"I knew you'd come," I whispered; happily, I gave him a small smile before everything turned dark.
Zero's pov
When Momo closed her eyes, my body went numb. I looked at Hanabusa with a cold stare with one thing on my mind, but Yuki moved my arm at the last minute.
"Don't shoot him, you idiot!" Yuki said
I kept glaring at Hanabusa while he sighed in relief when he realized that he was still alive.
"That Bloody Rose." We heard Kaname say, "Would you please put that away? I'm afraid that the weapon you have is rather threatening to us." He walked closer to the now frightened Hanabusa.
"Kaname, I-" Yuki said while taking a step towards him.
"I'll escort these fools to the Headmaster myself," Kaname said while cutting Yuki off.
I just glared at them. Then, I put my gun away before picking Momo up bridal style, making Kaname look at me.
"Dorm President Kuran," Hanabusa said nervously.
"Is she alright? Zero." Kaname asked
Yuki looked at Momo and me. She was about to say something but stopped when she saw my face.
"Akatsuki. You're guilty too since you didn't do anything to stop, Aido." Kaname said while turning to look at Akatsuki
I decided to let Yuki takes care of the vampires before walking to the boy's dormitory. I could still hear them as I walked away, but I ignored them. I took her to my room, set her down on my bed, and cleaned up her wound before tucking her in. I looked at her neck, making the hunger come back. I grunted in pain before I walked toward the sink in my room. I tried taking my blood tablets before throwing them back up; I coughed a couple of times before deciding on taking a shower. I already knew that Momo would take one when she woke up. I decided to leave her alone before walking to the Headmaster's shower.
*Mini Time Skip*
Momo's pov
I woke up to see that I was in someone's room; I sat up before looking around. I realized that I was in, Zero's room. I smiled before getting out of his bed and walked out of his dorm room. I walked towards the Headmaster's shower room; I walked through the door only to see Yuki just getting out of the shower.
"Oh! I'm so sorry, Yuki!" I exclaimed
She looked at me, shocked, before a smile spread across her face, "No! You're fine! I'm glad you're awake, Momo!"
She gave me a kind smile, making me give her one back. I closed the door before taking a quick shower; I got dressed in the shower before stepping out. Yuki was finishing up blow-drying the rest of my hair when Zero walked into the room.
"Hey! You can not just barge in like that!" Yuki exclaimed angrily
"It's not my fault the dorms in my dorm close at dusk. The Headmaster's bathroom is all I can use." Zero said with a bored loon on his face
Yuki gasped, making me look where she looked, only to see a shirtless Zero. I blushed before ignoring the rest of their conversation until Zero walked over to me. I looked at him with a confused look until he sniffed the air around me.
"What are you doing, Zero?" I questioned with a blush
"The smell of blood is gone." Zero commented
My blush darkened as I gave him an uneasy smile.
"Yeah, my wound wasn't bleeding when I woke up." I explained, "So, I came here to get a shower."
"Are you alright?" He asked concerned
I nodded with a smile on my face, "Thanks to you, Zero,"
I stood up and gave him a hug making him immediately hug me back. We released each other before Yuki started talking about how, according to the legend, I would turn into a vampire. I shivered at the thought until she reminded us of how a vampire attacked me.
"Yeah, I guess your blood smells good to all of them." She said while drying her hair
"It doesn't matter as long as I have Zero. Nothing will happen," I explained. I heard Zero's breathing get uneven before a door slammed shut.
"Huh?" Yuki questioned confused
"Don't forget Yuki; he doesn't like talking about me getting attacked that day." I reminded her
She nods before we both walked out of the bathroom while we were walking back to the dorms. I started thinking about what happened last night.
"If Zero didn't come at the time, he did. How far would Hanabusa go? Would he suck me dry or?" I thought
I tensed up at being like my parents and leaving my new family behind. I couldn't imagine leaving Zero all by himself; it would hurt both of us. I know it will. I walked into my dorm room before immediately closing the door; I walked over to my bed and laid down. Everything hit me; I started to cry at the thought of a vampire sinking its teeth into my skin silently. I cried and cried until I fell asleep. I know that I worried Zero after I passed out. I probably would not have made it if Zero didn't show up at the time he did. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day.
