IN BETWEEN HER BREATHES, she compelled herself to die. Like she'd wanted that to happen to her already, forever. As the nurses took her inside the ambulance and then into the hospital, every word that people had ever said her flashed in her mind. Large amount of blood had gone away from her body. As soon as they entered the hospital, she was already unconscious. Avan went with them.
"She'll be fine, right? Nothing will happen to her, huh?? C'mon tell me!" He yelled at the doctors.
"Please calm down! Stay back! We'll try our best." The doctor had a downy expression in his eyes.
They took her inside the emergency room and closed the doors.
"Abby, Abbyy...Abby I messed up everything. What have I done! I'm so sorryy Abby!! I'm sorryy.." He cried out his heart and started panicking. "Abby I don't want this to happen noo pleasee no noo!"
"Wait, what? What the hell did you do?? Is she crying or panicking?? AVAN WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO??" Abby shouted. There was no answer.
"Just come to the city hospital right now." Avan controlled his tears.
"Ohkay! I'm coming in five minutes." Abby took off in her car.
As soon as she reached the hospital, she saw him and he came running and hugged her.
"The truck...it just hit her, eh..bl-blood w-was everywhere. Please no she can't go!" Avan clenched her shirt in his hands.
"She'll be okay.." Abby whispered in his ears.

"She's lost a large amount of blood and her nape has a big cut, uhm..we need her parents because we've to operate her." The doctor said when he came out of the emergency ward, thirty minutes later.
"Umm..they are not here right now. I'm her elder sister, may I do the paper work?", Abby said as a tear escaped her eyes. Avan sat back on the benches and breathed heavily.
"Yeah..", the doctor took her downstairs for the paper work. Avan saw the crack in the door of the operation theatre and went near. He saw her lying, lifeless yet forceful. He took the advantage of absence of the doctor and went inside.
"Will you ever forgive me? I'm so s-sorry! Felisha you're a good girl, right? You're not going to leave me, hmm? Not now..not yet puh-lease..!", he said.
Her hands were placed at her sides as he leaned down and kissed them. He felt her hands flinch on his touch as if she knew, it was someone intending to show care. He understood and sat on the chair. He could see her tears and wanted to wipe them away but he knew, it would hurt, him and her.

The night seemed darker than ever. Avan looked up every now and then and prayed for Felisha. The doctors came out after almost an hour and a half and claimed that she was fine.
"You have to take good care of her, she has injured half of her back and that is going to take a lot of time to heal. We've tried our best to close the cut and we've succeeded. She will be discharged in a week. Here in our care she will be more oftenly checked and supervised. Don't give her any kind of stress, she'll be awake in an hour or so." The doctor confirmed them.
"Thank you so much." Avan called out to the doctor. "I'm going inside to see her."
As he was about to go inside Abby stopped him by pulling him back towards the benches. The doctor interrupted them.
"Umm..I was thinking about the patient, umm..Felisha? Is that her name? Yeah..so if we see patients like these who just have minor injuries from road accidents take a very short while to recover but I've found Felisha to be different. And I don't know why her mental health is a total mystery."
Abby stared at Avan for a while and then spoke to the doctor.
"Yes sir, she does suffer mentally."
"Umm..may I please see her now?", Avan interrupted them.
"No, I think it's better for you to see her and comfort her because she'll understand her sister better, maybe." The doctor said pointing Abby. Abby went and sat near her bed. "Screw you, Avan", she muttered under her breath.
*
It had already been past the midnight. It had been two and a half hours as Abby slept near the lifeless Felisha. Avan had gone to Felisha's apartment to bring her accessories because she had to live for a week in the hospital. Abby had waited long but her eyelids felt heavier so she decided to rest her head on the couch placed in the corner of the room but soon drifted to sleep.
Felisha opened her eyelids and saw the ceiling of the hospital yet having a blurry sight. She breathed heavily and sat on the bed as she saw Abby sound asleep on the couch and the room was empty. She still felt dizzy. She saw both of her hands were attached to the drips of blood hanging above her. Seeing no one in sight she already knew what to do.
She quietly placed her fingers on the bandage, connecting to the drip, stuck on her hand, and ripped it off quickly. It resulted in "OUUCCHH!!" from her lips, but she shut her mouth as soon as she could and turned her head to see if Abby was still asleep or not. Luckily she was still sleeping. Felisha's hands were now bleeding heavily. She didn't care about anything. As she saw the balcony in front of her, she opened the door, quietly and jumped out on the road. She took off running and disappeared into the darkness.
