Reasons we can never be friends [Completed]

"ARTHIT! ARTHIT!!, quick, come" , shouted Hall.

Arthit who was packing his bag to go home tensed, " What happened!!"

" It's Bright, he's in trouble!!"

Hurriedly, they both dashed out of the class. They ran all the way to the back of the school which was the place for troublemakers and very suitable for fights.

Upon reaching they saw 3 guys, ganging up on Bright. He was kneeling down on the floor clutching his stomach. And despite that, the shortest of them continued hitting him.

"HEY!! STOP IT!!" , Arthit yelled.

All three heads turned towards him. Arthit quickly ran to Bright and hoisted him up.

" You assholes, why are you beating him up. Don't you feel ashamed ganging up on him"

The tallest of them sneered, " He was the one who was hitting on my friend's girlfriend. So he needs to be taught a lesson"

Arthit knew that Bright was a troublemaker. But he never expected him to pick a fight with the resident delinquent of the school. But friends will be friends. He can't let Bright be beaten up in front of him. So despite knowing, his chances of winning against the tall guy was slim, he challenged him.

"Oh yeah?? Then how about one on one? you and me to settle this score?"

The tall guy smirked," sure"

Arthit carefully seated Bright and lunged on that delinquent, but he easily dodged and lodged a punch on Arthit's stomach. Arthit groaned in pain but continued with his punches. Despite his short height, he was quick on foot. But it was an unequal match and at the end of it, Arthit lay battered and beaten up on the ground.

"It's enough Phana", the short friend stopped him.

"Remember, to never mess with me", with one last kick, Phana and his friends left.

Arthit swore at that moment, he seriously hates that guy.

Next time they came face to face in school was when Arthit saw Phana hanging around with the girl he fancied. So he cornered him one day after school.

"You scumbag!! now who is stealing who's girlfriend!!", Arthit hissed.

" Correction. she was never your girlfriend. besides who would want to be with you? as for me, one look was all it took to make her follow me", Phana smirked.

"YOU! YOU!! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!!"

" To teach you a lesson"

Arthit saw red and in a fit of rage, extended a punch to him. Phana lost balance for a moment then punched him back. Arthit fell down. He touched his nose, it was bleeding.

"Besides, I took her because i knew you liked her", Phana smirked and left.

Arthit was so angry that he decided, he's gonna hate him forever.

It was the first day of college and Arthit had already made a friend called Thada. They were roaming around the campus and checking things out.

"Thada, is that you??", a girl called from behind.

They turned back.

" Oh, San!! long time no see. looks like we are in the same college. Which dept?"

"Science"

"oh, we are science too. This guy here is Arthit"

They exchanged pleasantries.

" Hey, I have two more friends here. wanna hangout together?"

"Sure"

They went with San to the cafeteria. On the way, Thada told him that San was his classmate from school. 

"There they are"

They went to that table and Arthit's brow shot up. Their eyes met and they stared at each other. Arthit's face twisted in displeasure but the other person remained impassive.

"Guys, they are Sharp and Phana. And Sharp, Phana, they are Arthit and Thada"

She looked at each of them smiling, then seeing Arthit and Phana staring at each other said,

" Do you guys know each other?"

"No"

"Nope"

They broke the eye contact.

"Great!! Now let's all be friends", said Sharp happily.

All of them took a seat at the table. And Arthit sat far away from Phana. They started chatting happily. Arthit would glare at Phana sometimes and Phana would look at Arthit sometimes. They talked with everyone else except each other. Their behavior and tension unnoticed by the group for now.

I wanted it to be a oneshot, but while writing realised that everything could not be covered in a single chapter. Hence, i'll make it a short series.
