Reasons we can never be friends [Completed]

If anything, Phana's behaviour worsened towards Arthit. Come on, it's not like it was Arthit's fault. If he had to, he might as well go ahead and say, it was Phana's fault. Who told him to extend his hand? And it was a mistake. They should talk about it and just let it go.

So few days later, while giving him the assignment papers, Arthit broached the subject.

"You know...we should talk about it"

"About what?"

"The kiss"

At the mention of kiss, Phana made a disgusted face and hissed,

"Nothing happened between us."

Arthit looked at him. If he wants it that way then, " fine"

Even though Phana said that, there was a noticeable change in his behaviour.

Like one break, he bought drinks for everyone, except Arthit.

Arthit grinded his teeth at that but said nothing.

But San noticed everything and frowned.

" Hey San, what happened?", Asked Thada.

"Nothing, I just feel like eating something", she lied.

"What do you want"

"Anything would be fine"

"Hey, lover boy, get us something too", said Sharp.

With a nod, Thada went away.

Later, after class, Sharp suggested to go somewhere.

Right at that moment two girls arrived.

"Pha!!", One of the girls waved happily.

"Oh, White", Phana greeted.

"She is my friend Lemon", white said pointing to another girl.

" Hello Lemon", he greeted her.

But the said girl was looking at Arthit with interest.

" Pha, won't you introduce us to you friends?", Said Lemon.

Then Phana introduced everyone to her.

" Can I have your number Arthit?", She asked directly.

"Uhhh", he hesitated, "sure"

Everyone cheered at that and Phana raised his eyebrows.

"Now we have a lover girl too", commented Sharp.

Phana didn't liked that comment at all. Infact, he got annoyed.

"Come Pha, let's go", white said and latched herself to Phana. Phana went with her, but turned back to look at Lemon attaching herself to Arthit. Looked like she was going with them.

Phana frowned heavily at that. Suddenly, he didn't wanted to go with White, so he said,

"How about we join them?"

"Huh?? What about our date?"

"I'll take you to a nice place this weekend"

"Hmmm....ok,then"

They went back and joined them.

In the restaurant, White seated herself beside Phana and Lemon seated herself beside Arthit. And she sat way to close to him, that Arthit blushed.

"Hey...slow down lover girl", Thada commented.

" Look, look, pot calling the kettle black", said Sharp.

Everyone snickered, except Arthit and Phana. Arthit because he was feeling shy, and Phana because he was feeling annoyed.

Throughout dinner, Phana was glaring daggers at Arthit. His mood soured. Both Lemon and White were acting clingy. He doesn't really mind it, but right now, he was hating it.

Everytime, Lemon put something on Arthit's plate, Phana either stabbed his food or grinded his teeth.

And Arthit was going redder and redder every minute. Either from Lemon's attention or the intense glare from Phana.

On the other side, Thada was trying to put food on San's plate, only to be stopped by her.

" Seriously Thada, I can do that myself"

"Let lover boy do that", teased Sharp.

Later, it was decided that, Phana would drop the girls and Arthit home. And Sharp and Thada would return to their dorms.

After dropping everyone, only Arthit and Phana were left in the car. Yet again, there was a tense silence in the car. And just by looking at Phana's face, Arthit could tell he was pissed.

If they want to be in the same group, they have to be atleast amicable with each other, thought Arthit.

Otherwise, all of their friends would suffocate from their tense atmosphere.

Besides, it wasn't in Arthit to be angry for such a long time. So he decided to talk again about it.

When they reached Arthit's home, he finally gained courage and said.

" Hey Phana. Let's forget everything and start again, shall we? Let us be friends"

Phana turned his head sharply and glared at him,

"Who said I want to be friends with you?"

Ouch. That hurt. But still Arthit tried,

"Fine!! But atleast let's be the same as before this incident. You being cool and indifferent towards me than being hostile"

"No"

"Atleast for our friends!!"

Phana looked away.

" Come on!! What do you want me to do then!!"

Phana turned back and looked at him,

"Leave the group. Then there will be no hostility from me"

Phana's words stabbed Arthit very badly. He felt himself choking and became teary eyed.

"You are an asshole"

With those words, he left.
