Hannah, Gabriel, Sam, and Dean sat on watch. It was a little past seven in the morning and none of them had gotten much sleep. By now yesterday a teacher had already died. Suddenly Heat of The Moment rang through the room. Gabriel pulled out his phone and answered it. "Hey Balthazar, what's up" Gabriel said but then his face dropped. After a minute he hung up. "Whats wrong" Hannah asked "It's my father" Gabriel said "What did he do now" Hannah asked "He's dead" Gabriel said straight faced. "Oh my god, what happened?" Hannah asked stunned "He drove off the rode right into a tree. Balthazar told me that the police told him that he had to be going at least a hundred, if not faster, and he didn't have his seat belt on. He hit the tree and flew through the windshield" Gabriel said. No one knew what to say. "I have to go" Gabriel said, and he shook Cas awake. "Cas we have to go, there has been an accident, Dad is dead" Gabriel said "I'm coming with you Gabe" Hannah said "No please, stay here and wait with the others" Gabriel said "What if he is the next victim? Remember what Sherlock said, they are targeting people we know" Hannah said "Yeah but they are being threatened by thing that have value to them, I don't think he had anything of value" Gabriel said "What about Micheal, Lucifer, Anna, Cas, he loved them, he would never touch them, Cas being the baby, Anna the only girl, Michael, doing what ever he said, and Lucifer was just his favorite" Hannah argued "Fine Hannah, you and Sherlock can come" Gabriel said with a sigh. Hannah woke Sherlock up. "We have another victim" Hannah told him "Which teacher was it?" Sherlock asked "It wasn't a teacher, it was Gabriel's father" Hannah told him. Sherlock was up in a minute and throwing on his coat.
They left, getting into Gabriel's truck, and drove to his house where his brothers and sister were. When they arrived there was a police car in the driveway. "You need to tell them now, he's dead so it won't make much of a difference" Hannah said before they could get out of the truck "I know, but the question is will I have the courage to" Gabriel said "I'll be there, pretend you are telling me, okay" Hannah said "Okay" Gabriel said, and they all got out. They walked into the house and the officer was talking to Balthazar. Balthazar looked over as if to ask if he should tell, Gabriel gave him a nod. "Well if there is anything else you can tell us about your father call" The man said "Actually, there is something else" Balthazar said
He pulled off his shirt. There were fresh bruises on his body. Gabriel walked over taking off his jacket and the gauze to show where he had been cut. "So your father abused you two" The officer said sitting back down, Gabriel sat next to Balthazar. Hannah went behind Gabriel and held his hand. "And who are you?" The officer asked her "I'm his girlfriend" Hannah said to him, sort of shyly, and she wasn't looking at the officer. "Then why don't you sit down too" He said to her, but she continued to stand, after a few minutes of waiting though she finally sat. "So how old were you when your father started to abuse you" The officer asked "It wasn't long after our mother died" Balthazar said "I was nine, he was eight" Gabriel said "Our mother was practically our fathers life, he lived to keep her happy, she wanted a large family, so he provided one, she wanted to go to fight, so he let her" Balthazar said, there was no cocky arrogance in his voice right now "Our mother wanted to help fight during the was in Afghanistan. While over there she was shot and was injured. It wasn't that bad but by the time they finally found her she had lost nearly all her blood and died minuted after they found her" Gabriel said "When our father got the letter saying our mother was KIA, killed in action, he flipped" Balthazar said "He started drinking to stop the pain, he quickly chose favorites and he eventually started beating us" Gabriel said "It was only ever us, Cas was the baby, Anna the only girl, Lucifer was his favorite, and Michael did everything he was ever asked, but we never did" Balthazar said "It started the same way he started drinking, as a way to dull the pain, make someone else hurt like he was, but eventually he grew to like seeing us in pain and so he continued, the older we got, the worse the beatings were, and for the smallest of things. Just the other day he carved 'Yes Sir' into my arm because I didn't say yes sir" Gabriel explained "And he beat me today because he thought I had hidden all of his alcohol" Balthazar said
They were silent as the police wrote what they had said down. Then he turned to Hannah "So did you know about this?" He asked her "Yes sir, I did, I begged Gabriel to tell but he was afraid, I don't blame him I would to, no one was ever told and so it went unnoticed until now" Hannah said "Look I loved my father, I really did, he could just be an ass sometimes" Gabriel said to the officer "What makes you decide to tell now?" The officer asked "I figured he is dead now so why should people think he died innocent, I figured it was time for people to know who he really was" Gabriel said "That and she told me to" Gabriel said pointing at Hannah next to him, who's face flushed bright red "Like I said, I was begging him to tell someone what was really happening" Hannah said. The officer ask a few more questions about there abuse then changed the topic "Gabriel, where were you between five and seven this morning?" The officer asked "I spent the night at Hannah's house, we didn't have school yesterday due to Mrs. Sampson's suicide, and so I decided not to come home" Gabriel explained, which was only partially true "And what about your brother, Castiel?" The man asked "Cas spent the night at a friends" Gabriel said, then asked his own question. "Will we be aloud to see my father's body?" He asked, the officer sighed "I will allow you five minutes to see him" the officer said.
Gabriel, Hannah, Castiel, and Sherlock followed the officer in Gabriel's truck to where his fathers car had crashed. His father was laying over the steering whee, his face all cut up and bloody, His phone and some beer in the seat next to him. Sherlock picked up the phone and opened it up. There were two texts. the first read 'You will do what we say or we will kill your children' the second read 'you will crash into a tree and kill yourself our your children will die'. Sherlock pocketed the phone and then he noticed a piece of paper sticking out of the pocket of Gabriel's father's pants. He pulled it out and read it 'How long will it take you to realize it, we won't stop till you all fall down -JM' He pocketed that too.
*How Gabriel's father died*
He woke up about five and went down stairs. He looked around for some beer but there was no alcohol in the house. He called Balthazar down and beat him till he told him where he was hiding it, but Balthazar wasn't hiding it so he huffed and went out to his car. He drove down to the store and bought a few cases of beer. As he was walking out he got a text 'You will do what we say or we will kill your family' he immediately got into the car and started driving, not bothering to buckle his seat belt, he never did anyways. He got another text in the car 'You will crash into a tree and kill yourself or your children will die' it read. he dropped the phone onto the seat next to him and drove off the road, straight into a tree, he died as his chest made contact with the steering wheel, crushing his ribs and puncturing his lungs and essentially getting stabbed in the heart with a piece of his ribs. His head hadn't even reached the windshield when he died.
