Vicky woke up the next day to screams coming from her mother and Mrs Black. She groaned at the loud sound, still exhausted even after a good night of sleep - but to be fair, she didn't really sleep very good. And the sudden awakening didn't help either. She could only imagine how bad she actually looked, and she didn't really want to think about it.
She stayed in her bed for a few minutes, just thinking, until her door flew open. She barely glanced towards it, as she tried to still her quickened breathing. She saw a figure move through her dark room, towards the windows. And a moment later, the green curtains had been pulled apart and light streamed into the room. It made Vicky blink, as she tried to adjust her eyes to the sudden light.
"Mum says to get up," muttered Ron, who had just pulled the curtains apart and was on his way out of the room. And then, he walked out of the room, leaving the door open.
Vicky rolled her eyes, before taking a deep breath and sitting up. The whole world spun when she did, but she didn't really care about it. She stood up, ignoring the black spots that appeared in her vision. She was used to it by now, knowing that it had something to do with the lack of food and water in her system. But the price of looking beautiful was a high price, and she was willing to pay that price to even look half as beautiful as the rest of the girls at Hogwarts.
She picked up the outfit she had prepared the day before - consisting a pair of red and grey striped jeans, a red cropped top and a big black belt, along with her normal pair of black Converse. She looked decent in the outfit, she had to give herself that, but she didn't look good enough. She also had her black leather jacket prepared for the outfit, knowing that it was quite cold outside. And her hair looked like a mess, so she quickly made two french braids on herself. And that's when she decided that she was done, as she kicked her trunk shut and stuck her wand inside her trousers, so it would be easier to grab it if something happened. She put on her leather jacket quickly, deciding that it was best if she put it on now, knowing that no one would wait for her to do that later.
Five minutes later, after brushing her pearly white teeth carefully, she walked down the stairs, meeting her very stressed mother, who was practically screaming at Moody now. Something about getting another guard, and him being late or something, and that he would cause them to miss the train. That's when Vicky decided to stay out of everyone's way, knowing that she would get all the crap if something went wrong.
"Vicky dear, are you done packing?" asked Mrs Weasley kindly, noticing her oldest daughter - and she quickly looked over her outfit with a small nod. Vicky nodded quietly. "Well, great then. Fred! Come here, please. Can you get Vicky's trunk from her room, yes, thank you!"
Vicky was the only one who noticed the look Fred gave her, as he passed her on the way up the stairs, and she knew why. And it made her roll her eyes again - something she had done an awful lot since the summer break started. And she was so done with her whole family, the Order and Ronald's friends. She just wanted to get away from all of them - being with Draco Malfoy was better, even if she hated him more than anything. And couldn't keep up with him constantly asking her out, even trying to court her with the help of his parents a couple of times - but everything was better than staying here for another day. And she definitely missed her best friend, Natalia Dragomirov.
"I've fixed two sandwiches for you, so you won't get hungry on the train," said Mrs Weasley, patting her daughter's cheek quickly. "Leave the luggage here, Fred - Alastor will deal with that." Fred had just come down the stairs, the trunk flying into the walls and he let it fall onto the floor with a loud 'thump'. "Vicky, dear, you'll be going with me and Tonks, along with Harry. Now, hurry up, or we'll be late. Everything's packed, right? You've got everything? Yes? And Nox? Great, let's hurry up."
