Don't You Do That Again (Zack Merrick All Time Low)

Chapter 17

*A Few Days Later*

*Larken's POV*

Right now, the guys are over and discussing plans for a new album. They have already released a new single, Everything Is Fine. Alex seems the most proud out of the guys. He always acts like these songs are his children.

They start to get off topic and start talking about the plans for Jack's 30th birthday party. I can tell one thing will happen-there will lots of alcohol. That should be fun.

I'm cuddled into Zack's side as the others are sprawled out over the couch and chairs talking about music and birthday parties. They seem to go back and forth on a topic. I think its kind of funny.

"Lark, what do you think we should do for his birthday," Alex looks over at me. 

I take a moment to think, "Maybe we could go on a trip for thirty days-since that's how old he'll be turning. Or just something you guys usually do for a party." I start to feel uncomfortable as their eyes are all on me. 

Zack takes notices and pulls me a little more into his arms. Alex, Rian, and Jack look like they're thinking about actually going through my silly idea. 

"Whoa, that actually sounds like fun. It could be like a road trip or something like that," Jack speaks up.

Rian looks over at him, "Yea that sounds great, but where would we go?"

"What about driving from here to LA? That would be something different, only because we don't get to stop where we want to on Tour. We could all take our girlfriends-sorry Jack." Alex pats him on the shoulder. 

Jack rolls his eyes and I but it, "Or it could just be you four. I'm sure you guys don't get a lot of 'guy time' or whatever you call it."

I feel like I would be intruding on them. I kind of just got here and I'm sure they don't want me to go along.

"Why would you say that? Do you know how much time we just spent working on songs together? Months. It would be fun if we all did it," Zack looks down at me and gives me a smile.

I give him a slight hug, "I guess you're right."

Alex's phone buzzes and he starts to stand, "Wife wants me home. Wink, wink. See you guys later." He laughs and walks out the door.

"Get some, Alex," Jack shouts after him. "I think this is something we should totally do this. It would be awesome. I think I'm going to go home and sleep." Rian agrees and leaves too. 

Its just Zack and I. He turns on a movie and cuddles me tighter, "Hey Lark, why did you think that only the guys should go?"

I start to fiddle with my sleeves, its my nervous habit, "I was just thinking that they-or you- wouldn't really want me to go along since I just got here. I'm sure I would just make things worse."

Zack sits up and takes my hands away from my sleeves. He raises my hands to his lips and kisses my knuckles, "Larken. That is so wrong. You would make it better. It would be boring with out you. I promise you that."

He doesn't let me disagree with him because he connects his lips with mine. I'm glad I had a panic attack at the mall.
