Chapter 5

Clint's POV
"You did WHAT?!" Fury was pretty mad that we weren't able to detain an 18 year old.

While giving us a full lecture about the Percy guy, I was lost in thought. I mean, how was he able to dodge all my arrows? I've never missed a shot and most of my arrows missed him by an inch or two. I could already tell he wasn't normal.

There were a bunch of questions that I intend getting answers too.

Percy's POV
"Mom I'm home!" I walked into the apartment after 3 hours.

"Where have you been?! I've been worried sick!"

"I'm sorry I just got uh, caught up in stuff."

My mom looked at me skeptically and said, "Okay, but if something else happens I swear... Anyway, Annabeth has been waiting for you for the past 20 minutes."

My eyes widened. I sprinted upstairs and I could hear the faint laugh of my mom as I almost tripped.

"Hey Annabeth." I said, panting.

She looked at me, walked to me, and hit me in the head. "Where have you been? What trouble have you gotten yourself into this time? Seaweed Brain you better tell me what happened."

I just grinned at her sheepishly. "Well not much. Um, on a totally unrelated note, do you happen what the uh, Avengers are?"

She looked at me in a weird way before saying, "They're like the mortal version of, uh, us. Why do you ask? What did you do?"

"Um, they may or may not wanted to detain me for interrogation? It's not that bad."

Then Annabeth went on a rant. "You did what?! You do realize that they work for the government. They're going to come and come until they get you. And since you fought them of, they're just going to try even harder."

"Uh... oops?"

"Percy you are hopeless. This is a problem. The government wants you. What if they question about demigods? We could get exposed."

"What about the mist?"

"Maybe, I don't know. The rest of the seven are coming over later. Maybe we should discuss it with them."

"Um okay. Wanna watch Finding Nemo?"

She smiled. "Sure."

(Time skip in an hour)
(Still Percy's POV)

We were nearing the end of the movie when my mom called us downstairs.
"Percy? Annabeth? Everyone is here! Come down."

We got up and when we walked downstairs, I saw Nico, Thalia, and the rest of the Seven.

"I'm going to make some blue cookies, you guys can go talk in the living room." With that, my mom left.

Once we all settled down, Annabeth spoke. "Percy got himself into trouble." then mumbled, "again..."

Everyone's groans could be heard from down the hall.

Thalia rolled her eyes. "Well, I'm not surprised. What did you do this time?"

"Well, the Avengers may or may not want to uh, capture me?"

Jason looked at me. "Do you even know why?"

I rubbed the back of my neck. "Uh no."

Annabeth murmured, "Seaweed Brain."

Hazel then spoke up. "Well what happened?"

After I told them what happened, Piper asked, "Why are they even after you?"

Before I could tell her that I didn't know, Annabeth answered for me. "Since they want to interrogate him, they will keep coming until they are able to get him. I think he should just go to them, before anything happens."

"I guess it's an alright idea. But what they get hostile or something?" Frank questioned.

"That's why we are going to help." Annabeth said. "I have a plan..."

Yup. That's my Wise Girl.
