Percy's POV
Once I got to the 50th floor, I saw all the Avengers staring at me.

Except for Thor, he waved at me and gave me a knowing look.

I cleared my throat. "It is I, Persassy Jackson! All rise and we shall quest onwards!"

They looked at me.

If this is what it would be like if I said yes, I would have a lot of work to do.

"Where's pirate man?"

Turns out he was right behind me.

"Have you made your decision Perseus?"

I winced at the name.

"It's Percy first of all, and second of all, yes I have."

"Well, what's your answer?" Tony asked.

"Before I answer, I would like to make a speech." I heard groans. I snickered internally. "So, when I was first offered, I said no."

"Not because I was scared or anything, it's because saving people, having the fame and fortune, is a big no-no for me."

"Also saying no, I could live a normal life. I'm only 18, and if I said yes I would live in constant danger."

With the knowing glances they shared, I knew that they knew what my answer was. I smirked.

"So that being said, I have come to a conclusion."

They all leaned forward, even though they had in mind what the answer was.

I took a deep breath. Then I smirked. "My conclusion is.... only my mom can make the best blue cookies."

Everyone groaned and glared at me.

Only Thor cracked up.

Thank the gods there was at least someone normal. Which was weird, saying the normal one was the god.

"Okay, I'm kidding. You guys are so boring. Jeez. So I've decided that my answer is..."

I looked around. They all seemed to think I would say no, which I would.

"Yes."

Everyone looked at me shocked.

"Why?" Clint asked while Natasha hit him in the head.

I could've named a few reasons.
I was already used to the danger.
I could protect my friends and family.
Let other enjoy life.

My fatal flaw was loyalty.

Big reason there.

But I just smiled. "I have my reasons."

Fury looked at me. "Okay then. So, are you ready?"

I smirked. "When do I start?"
