It was finally the weekend, the first weekend since the start of summer that didn't have a party. To be honest, it felt nice, not having to dress all slutty and cake makeup on my face to fit into the scene. It's not like I had anyone to impress anyways.

I was laying in bed, staring at the ceiling, debating on whether or not I should get up. I decided to roll out of bed, knowing I would make myself feel better if I did.

I walked over to my closet and picked out some clothes to wear: a plain red t-shirt and black shorts, and I paired that with my classic white slip-on vans. I walked into my bathroom, started the shower and hopped in. The warm water felt so good on my skin, it washed away all the stress I didn't know I was feeling.

While in the shower, my mind wandered to Grayson. What was up with him lately? I never knew that he got so close with Alice and her minions, and the rest of the football guys. Sure, they talked and everything, but he wasn't really 'buddy-buddy' with all of them.

Was he doing it to impress them? To fit in? All of these unanswered questions made my head swirl. I hopped out of the shower and put on my clothes, deciding to just put my hair up in a messy bun.

My thoughts about Grayson caused me to text him, it had been a while since we hung out, just us two. I feel like we need to revive our friendship a bit.

me: hey gray, what are your plans today?

grapeson: ethan and i are doing something but i'm free after 4

me: can u come over? i miss u :(

grapeson: haha sure

I smiled then put my phone away, turning on the TV and started my binge of supernatural.

It was 4 and I was waiting for Grayson to come. I had run to the grocery store and stocked my fridge with pink lemonade, our favorite drink. I was sitting and waiting for him to answer the door.

Soon the clocked turned to 4:30, then 4:40, and before I knew it, it was already 5:30. I texted Grayson, obviously upset.

me: grayson are u coming??

grapeson: can we take a rain check? i'm out with alice right now.

My anger level went from raged to livid. The Grayson that I knew before wouldn't change his plans when 'better' people came around, he stuck to his word. I was infuriated so I texted him back.

me: let's take a rain check until u figure out ur priorities.

I shut my phone off and threw it on my bed. I was very upset with him. I decided to text the girls.

group text to charlie, rose and anastasia: come over, girls night.

charlie: on my way

anastasia: i've got snacks

rose: i'll bring nail polish and face masks.

The doorbell rang at 7. I opened it and Charlie, Anastasia and Rose stood there. Rose was holding face masks and nail polish, and Anastasia held multiple bags of snacks.

"Thanks for coming on short notice, I'm having a major crisis", I moved out of the way to let them in.

"Who hurt you?" Anastasia asked while pouring the potato chips into a bowl.

"It's Grayson", I sigh, putting the palm of my hand on my forehead.

"What happened?" all 3 of the girls said in unison.

I began to explain how I felt like Grayson was changing, How he was hanging around Alice and her crew, and how he ditched his plans with me today to hang out with them.

"Honestly, I see it too", Rose said, peeling off her face mask.

"Yeah, I don't know what's gotten into him", Anastasia and Charlie said at the same time.

We gathered all of the blankets in my house and plopped down in front of the TV in my living room, watching movies like The Proposal and Love, Actually. I told the girls that they could stay the night, and they planned to.

"Thanks for helping me guys, I guess I just need to talk to him, huh?" I asked.

"Yeah, that's a good idea", Charlie said.

We said goodnight to each other and actually fell asleep, which is a rare occurrence for a sleepover.
