"Dirty margarita it is"
THE SUN RISES, Haley's dry eyes blinked repeatedly as the sun blinded her. She lifted her hand from the chest of the boy she had just met yesterday. No she didn't go further than the kiss...her first kiss. She sat up wiped the eye boogies out of the cracks of her eye lids. She stretched and finally realized her surroundings. She was on the top of the slide the cold metal touched her bare legs as she got up. She looked down at the boy, and smiled widely, and shook her head. She took off his jacket and put in on top of him as a blanket. She walked down the empty streets of the quiet town. She took out her phone to check the time; 6:30.

SHE WALKED DOWN THE DESERTED STREET, and she realized summer was over in two days. She was going to the lions den called Liberty High on Monday, and deep down she was frightened; to be rejected, criticized from where she came from, what her past was about. Who wouldn't be on their freshman year? That's a story for another time though. It seemed like she had walked for miles, she recognized the big wealthy people houses. She was deep in her thoughts, until she heard a basketball being played with. She looked up and saw a boy making shots into the net multiple times. She put her hood down, and squinted her eyes to see the boy better. He had stopped in his tracks as he seen the girl walk by.
"HEY! wait you there!" the masculine voice yell while jogging over. She had no choice, but to comply and smile. He stopped and took a second to take a look at the girl.
"HEY! hey you there, stop for a sec!", she had no choice but to stop in her tracks. She looks up and noticed a dirty blonde headed boy, with a devilish smile and eyes that look like they can stare into your soul and steal it from you. He gave her a bad vibe, but she ignored it. She wanted to change this year. Last night while she was with Justin they talked...a lot.
*Flashback to last night*
"So Miss Haley, what made you take my pipe without no hesitation?" Justin says with his boyish grin. She took her puff and stared up at the handsome teenage boy, watching as the moon shines onto his eyes.
"I don't know Justin, wouldn't anyone take a pipe from a stranger" she says sarcastically. He lifts up from leaning on his elbow and shifts his body towards her and crosses his legs like a pretzel. Which made her laugh reminding how in first grade, her teacher would tell the class to criss-cross apple sauce.
"Now, now, Haley your avoiding my question, which means you hiding something." He says trying to pry everything he could learn about her out of the mysterious girl. She smirked and finally spilt her guts, thinking she could trust the stranger.
"Back in New York, my bestfriend...Marissa and I would sneak into rich parties. With dresses we still had the tags for. We were low lives, thieves, we manipulated a lot of people into get what we craved the most. Drugs, anything that can get us high , because our home wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but it's whatever that was another lifetime." She laughed at herself, thinking how pathetic she sounded. She laughed and then she felt hot tears fall down her cheeks. Right then and there she felt his cold hands cup her cheeks and wipe the tears off.
"I know how you feel, truly. Trust me my life isn't sunshine and rainbows either. But advice from a stranger, move on. Make your life worth living for, your hot as hell, fuck your a total babe.", she blushes brightly. He continues, "Use this chance, to start the hell over"
*Flashback over*
SHE SHAKES HER HEAD and puts a smile on her face. She stares up at the boy and shook away her bad vibes. They talked for awhile as he shot hoops. They didn't talk nothing personal, she couldn't it would've brought sadness back and she wanted to block at that, in other words put a wall up. He seemed sweet and kind...and she felt horrible for thinking there was a bad bone in the boys body.
"You wanna shoot?" He ask smiling. At that moment I froze, because I haven't played a sport in two years. She was a cheerleader freshman year of high school. She was different then, innocent. That's a story for another time though.
"Um, no thanks, I honestly don't know how. I'm going to severely embarrass myself." She giggles nervously. He walks towards her as if he was her prey. She backed up to toy with him, play hard to get. He bounce passes the ball towards her and she catches it. She dribbles the ball and attempts to shoot it into the basketball net. He then catches her by grabbing her by the waist, slightly tickling her making her laugh. They played a couple rounds.
"You see you have to hold the ball like this, and lift your arms up. Angle them to where you want to shoot the ball.", he says before grabbing her waist making her fix her posture. Her insides tingled, and then he whispers. "You have to stand up straight, bend your legs slightly.", In that moment his hand slides down her thigh and then to the back of her knees making them bend forward. She felt that bad feeling again and couldn't put a finger on it."Now shoot" he finally says. As she releases the ball they both watch it as it makes it into the net.
"OMG I DID IT!" She says with excitement, she turns and around and watches how he tries to lean and kiss her. In that moment she backed away. He nodded, and we both stood there as we felt the rain drop onto our skin. Surprisingly it became heavy and soaked the both of them within seconds of being outside.
"Come inside and dry until the rain stop. And I drop you off home of you want!" He yells trying to talk between the loud rainstorm. She thinks about that for a second not wanting to make anything more awkward then it already was.
"No it's ok I only live a couple blocks away."She says putting her hood up.
"No, no I insist, plus I owe you for trying to plant a kiss on you and all." He says before grabbing my hand.
WE RUN INSIDE and I watch how he locks the door with many chains. He takes of his letterman jacket and puts it on the back of a kitchen chair. He steps into the kitchen before going into the fridge. He tells me his mother has extra clothing into the bedroom down the hall to the right. I walk up the stairs, sliding my wet finger up the banister. She walking slowly trying to rely on photographic memory to help her remember every square inch of the beautiful house. She walks into the mom's gigantic bedroom and picks out a black tank top, and joggers. She then heads down stairs.
"We have drinks, if you want one, oh and where's my manners?" He laughs and then gives me another devilish grin. "My name is Bryce...Bryce Walker" He says.
"Haley...do you have martini?" She says scanning the book shelf in the living room.
"No, but we have margaritas." He smiles before shaking things up at the little bar counter In the kitchen.
"Dirty Margarita it is"she says realizing she needed to contact her mom. She's dead...
