Demi POVAfter Aly fell asleep watching the movie, Y/n took her to her room while I waited for her in the living room. The reason I'm here is because I feel I need to tell Y/n how I feel about her. 2 months she's been on my mind nonstop. Why? Only God knows. If I had that answer to why I think about her 24/7 to where I can't even think and focus on writing songs I'd tell you for sure, but I can't. I know she knows that I like her, but honestly I wanna be more than friends. She has a wall and I can feel it. Last night when we kissed, it was more than words could even explain. The spark was there, and I felt it. I know she felt it, she had to, right?
"So, you were in the neighborhood and wanted to stop by?" Y/n said leaning on the wall with her eyebrows furrowed breaking me from my thoughts. "You think I'm lying?" I smirked. "Demi, there isn't a studio around this part of town, you and I both know that. So, yeah. I do." She chuckled. "What are you doing here?" She added. "I need to know, what you think this is. Are we something, will we be? Because I don't know what your plan is, Y/n." I admitted. She walked to the couch and sat down beside me. "I like you. A lot, Demi. I don't want you to think I'm leading you on, but anything I do relationship wise I have to think of Aly first. I haven't been in a relationship since Colt."
"I'm really into you, Y/n. I really want to try and see if this works. 2 months ago, I met you and ever since then you literally took over my mind. I'm not saying that to sound cliché, but it's true!" I stated. "We agreed to take things slow, Demi. What if we were to make things official and something happens, then what? I can't and I refuse to have someone popping up in and out of my life, including Aly's. She loves you, Demi." She said refusing to make eye contact with me. "Y/n, I completely understand where you're coming from. I just want a chance to make both of you happy. You two deserve to be happy." I said trying to get her to look up from her feet.
"What if-." She started but I interrupted her by scooting closer to her and laid my hand on hers as she flinched. "No. What if this ended up working out? You won't ever know whether it would've or not because you haven't tried." "Demi, I-." She began but I stopped her, again. "I know you're scared. You've been hurt many times before and believe me you aren't the only one." "If I say yes, then what?" She questioned. "We'll take it day by day, take things slow like before, and I'll be doing everything I can to get you to see that I want this. I want to be here for you, but only if you let me." I replied.
"You really want this?" She asked. " I want whatever you want, Y/n. If not, then we can go back to being just friends just like before. I respect whatever decision you make. This is just me letting you know how I feel." I said. We sat there for a minute or two, when finally she got up from the couch and just walked around the living room. "I know...that I want to try...I can't promise anything but-." "Promise me, no promises." I interrupted getting up off the couch and making my way to where she was standing. "Will you stop doing that?!" She giggled. "Wait, did you just quote one of your songs?" "Oh, so you are a fan?" I chuckled. "Yes, Demi! I listen to a lot of music. Yours just happens to be on repeatedly in car rides to work everyday." She rolled her eyes. "So, are we doing this? You and me?" I asked gently putting my hand on her hip and tugging her softly closer to me. She nervous and I can tell.
"What's wrong?" I asked. "A lot has happened today. Both good and... Well, I wouldn't say bad but a little heartbreaking." She sighed. "Let'-." "What happened?" I interrupted. "Demi, you are ruining the moment." She softly chuckled a bit turning to face the tv. "Y/n?" I said sincere, gently trying to get her to turn back around. "I wanna do this, Demi." She finally spoke. "Really?" I questioned. "I feel like I'm in high school, again. 'Will you be my girlfriend?' Yes. I'd be happy to be your girlfriend, Lovato." She said with a smirk. "What did I tell you about calling me by last name, Y/l/n?" I glared at her. "Hmm. To be prepared? You know, I slept since then. Plus, that was awhile ago. I slept ALOT since then, soooo..." she said. "Shut up." I smiled, I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her into a sweet meaningful kiss. Wow. The butterflies. All I can think is 'Wow'.
We pulled away from the kiss and touched foreheads. "It's kinda late, I better go check on Aly. If you want to, I know you don't have anything to change into but you can stay again if you'd like. My pjs are in the top middle drawer." She directed. I nodded, made my way to her room and grabbed a top and bottoms to wear. Soon, I felt hands go around my waist taking the pjs out of my grasp. "If we are going to take things slow, you better give them back. I usually sleep naked." I smirked. "Oh, you're one of those people?" She laughed. "I'm a bra and panties type." She added. I went to change in her closet and came she was laying in her side facing towards the wall. I kissed her cheek and got comfortable, then wrapped my arm around her waist.
"Goodnight, Y/n" I whispered. I wasn't surprised when she was already fast asleep.

This update is kinda lame. Lol. Honestly, this was supposed to be up yesterday, but with 'Sober' being released I was in no mood to update. The song in general tore me up as well as the rest of you. Love you guys and hope you are doing well. 💖
