assaulted in the dead of the night
under that blinding yellow light
battered and abused,
bruised by that relentless throbbing
and blood oozing from between her thighs
she lay feeble... helpless.. powerlessfar away in the distance
sirens confuse the night's silence
as she opened her blurry eyes
a flash of red and blue
and hushed muted voices
then...utter darknessconfined within the hospital wall
and the fingers pointed at her, all
like what was she wearing, or
if she mislead the man and
whether her dress was too short
but no questions...none at the man at allbroken she lay, yet again
on the hospital bed
her efforts to reason in vain
shattered and betrayed
but, nay..this time she wouldnt just give inher legs quivered
not of fear and not in pain
but in exhilarating passion
of the oasis of possibilities that lay ahead
she decided to start anew
she decided she wouldnt be a prisoner anymore
she decided to spread her wings once more
