Chapter 3

Armin's POV

Year 850, 5th March, I don't remember what time it was.
Blank. Numb. Broken. That's how I felt. That horrible scene played in my mind over and over again. I didn't scream nor did I cry, I was empty. My best friend had just died in front of my eyes, and I did nothing to save him.

I was brought back to the sad reality as someone shook me by my shoulders "Armin! Armin can you hear me?! Armin!!" It was Connie, that airhead. I slowly looked up at him and realized I was sitting on one of the roofs, very probably they carried me up here. I frowned and pushed him away "Yes. I can hear your annoying voice." I said full of venom.

That's when Mikasa ran to me "Armin! I'm glad you're okey!...Where's Eren?" She asked while looking around. Fuck. I had forgotten about Mikasa for a moment, she's going to be destroyed as well. I lowered my head and frowned "Dead" I said and she looked back at me. We both looked at each other with a blank face, then she turned around and sighed "We must reach that damn Head Quarter to get the gas" she deadpanned and with that she took off.

All of us followed her but I could see she was hurting, she wasn't in control of her emotions anymore. Before I knew it, she finished her gas and fell down. "Fuck!" He frowned and went after her quickly, looking for her between the buildings. After a while of looking around, I spotted her and rushed to pick her up, taking her on a roof.

"Mikasa we have to leave!" I frowned "No, wait!" She said holding my arm "Look at that titan!" She said while pointing over two titans...fighting each other? "What's up with that one?" I asked confused "I don't know, but he doesn't even look at us! Armin we could use him to kill the titans at the Head Quarter!" She exclaimed.

I looked over at the muscly titan and sighed "Well we're already fucked, so why not..." I mumbled. But something caught my attention. This perfume, it was so strong, and familiar too. I frowned and quickly shook my head, I had to focus. "Hey big ass titan! Come this way!" I picked up Mikasa and ran off towards the building, with the weird titan following us quickly.

We landed on the roof together with the others and we all watched that titan, fighting the other mindless beasts as if there was no tomorrow. It reminded me of someone so much, but I couldn't quite pin point who. Once I was back to reality, the weird titan was on the ground, dead very probably "Well...at least there are no more titans around..." I sighed and was about to leave when Mikasa stopped me.

"Look..." she said, breathless, and as soon as I looked down, I was too. We looked at each other with wide eyes and she jumped down with her 3DMG while I just climbed down on my own. We climbed up on the titan's corpse and my eyes filled with joyful tears. I hugged the figure that came out of the titan's nape as tight as I could.

That beautiful scent that made me want to shout and laugh out in joy, filled my nostrils and I couldn't be more glad. I buried my face in the crook of his neck, holding him even closer as if he could disappear by any second. He was alive. I was hugging him. He was real. Eren was not dead.

We were back at the safe HQ as I still held an unconcious Eren in my arms, stroking his hair softly as I tried to process everything. Eren just randomly popped out from a titan's nape. In once piece. Alive. Unconcious, but, alive. I had seen weird things in my life, but a human coming out of a titan's body? Never.

Before I knew it we were in a field, surrounded by soldiers, me, Eren and Mikasa. The Captain of the Garrison looked at us as if we were freaks. I sighed annoyed but then Eren slowly woke up "I will kill you all..." he slurred with a creepy smile. All the soldiers got alarmed at that and loaded the cannon.

"Wha- what am I doing here? Armin? Mikasa? What's going on?" He asked confused. Apparently he didn't remember a thing. "Eren Jaeger!!" Captain Kitz yelled at us "Are you a human or a titan?!" He asked. "What...what does he- Armin what does he mean?" He asked with a frown.

I was about to answer but Kitz shouted again "Answer me!! Are you a human or a titan?!" He frowned. Eren looked confused as he then shouted "I'm human!!". At that, Kitz raised his arm, giving the order to fire the cannon.

I widened my eyes, if I tried anything, I would worsen the situation for all of us. Before I could think of something, Eren pulled me and Mikasa close to then bite his hand. I covered my eyes due to the strong light. I slowly looked up and gasped: we were inside of a half formed titan, what the hell?

Soon Eren was back with us "How the fuck can you do that?" I asked "I don't know...I just do it I guess..." he muttered. I shook my head and looked back at Kitz that was about to flip again, but the Commander of the Garrison stopped him. What the fuck was going on?

We were on the top of the wall, sitting by the edge while Mikasa discusses with Commander Pixis about our situation. The sun was setting, and despite what has been happening up until now, I felt peaceful while looking at it.

"Hey, Armin. How can you kill titans like that?" Eren asked all of a sudden. I looked over at him and shrugged "I just do it I guess" I said, mocking him. "Ha ha, very funny..." he grinned softly. I shook my head and smiled "What about you? How can you smell this good?" I asked back.

He frowned in confusion while looking at me "What do you mean?" He asked but I just smirked and looked back at the horizon. After a bit of silence I decided to speak up "Eren, have you ever heard about mystical creatures called Werewolves?" I asked, without looking at him.

"Uhh..yeah, but they're just a legend for children" he said with a shrug "How would you feel if you discovered that they were real?" I asked once again, now looking over at him. I let my eyes change, the pupil shrank and the irides turned yellow.

He looked over at me and gasped, yet he wasn't scared, just surprised "Well that...explains a lot of things actually..." he chuckled, making me smile as my eyes went back to look human. "So if I pat your head you'll wag your tail or something?" He smirked as he did so.

I felt my cheeks heat up as I let out a soft whine "A-asshole..." I pouted looking away "Aw, you're just like a puppy" he snickered "Fuck you..." I huffed looking away "Yeah, fuck me..." he muttered and I widened my eyes "What?" I asked and he looked away "What?" He said as he avoided eye contact "...what?" I raised my eyebrow while looking at my best friend.

And that was the end of our awkward conversation.

Anyways I'm sorry if this chapter seems rushed but I just cut out the useless stuff y'know, I'm not going to follow all the AOT series story, from now on it'll be different and more Eremin interactions will be there. So prepare the tissues for the nosebleedz
