when I woke up I could barely remember where I was. I was laying on a cheap hospital bed with a clear tube sending clear liquid from an IV bag to my arm. The room I was in consisted of gun metal gray walls. A few hospital equipment and a random syringe were sitting to my left on a rolling table.

I took the tube and ripped it out of my arm. Blood slowly trickled from the new wound. I cringe at the pain and jumped when he monitors beeped off then went blank when I took more tubes off my hands. My leg and wrist now had bandages. I studied to neatly wrapped bandages.

I looked up as the door was bumped. I quickly grabbed the syringe with clear liquid, knowing it may or may not cause damage. Whatever was in it better help me.

I prepared myself for the worst. When a man, I never seen, came through the door, I quickly reacted and slammed the syringe down, aiming for his head. My wrist was caught by an even strong and bigger gloved hand. He twisted my injured wrist, causing me to lose my grip from the pain shoot up my arm.

“You bastard, let me go!” I cried as he closed the door. I couldn’t think of anything better to say with the pain.

“Will you calm down. I am trying to help you not harm you.” He caught my good wrist that was inches from punching his nose in.

“Let go of me!” I growled.

“Not until you calm down,” His voice was calmer than his grip that kept squeezing harder the more I moved, “Please just let me explain. This isn’t as bad as you think, if you would please let me explain to you.

“Explain what!” I was now crying from the pain, “That you kidnapped me!”

“Calm down first and I will tell you.” after a few minutes of hopeless struggling and some blood I got tired and he let me go. I rubbed my throbbing wrists and sat on the edge of the bed.

“Okay, I know it’s weird but you’re in a facility with all men. Your supposed to cover yourself up for now,” he redid my blood bandages, “This will be until somebody can explain you to them. If we don’t have an issue and he gets all he needs from you, He might let you go. Although, that would be a one in fifty chance he will do so.”

“Do I seriously have to do any of this.” I was looking at his careful hands wrap my leg bandage.

“You, kind of, have no choice in a facility full of war trained demons who mostly hate humans.” he smiled, and looked up after finishing the last wrap around my leg, “especially humans like you who can’t be marks by a demon’s bond, which I haven’t seen happen till you showed up, not even the most protected human can be like you. I have no idea how you managed it.”

I thought back to the man in the truck that burned my neck, “Okay,”

At this point I wanted to leave.

“Okay. Anyway, if you follow the rules and let me help you, you should be fine. Also, you have special treatment, which I don’t know why. The leader just told us what to do and what your aloud to do.” He sighed,” He wants you for some special reason.”

I nodded when he stopped talking his thoughts.

“in case you wanted to know my name is Jessy,” he held out his hand.

“Crysta,” I don’t know why but I shook his hand. He led me out into an empty hall. As we walked I noticed a strange mark at the back of his neck I guess was the one they were trying to put on me, he led me to an empty room with two bunk beds. I thought about his marking as I studied to room.
