(y/n) (l/n), an exchange student that went to Duel Academy. She finally graduated with high scores and get standards. Her good friend, Zane, was at the top of the class. His dueling skills are much more superior in general. His academics as well, they're very high. Now, (y/n) and Zane are off into the world of adulthood. This couldn't be even more terrifying. Paying bills/taxes, getting a job, and going to university. Of course there's more but, (y/n) can only focus on that. She wants to do something with dueling, but she can't.

Zane however is looking forward to his new duels and all. He wants to be a professional. (y/n) being his lover and all, supports him in ever single way. However, there's always a flip side to every single situation. (y/n) is going to college overseas. In fact, she got this amazing scholarship in the USA. (y/n) can't deny that, she can't pass up on this amazing school. But she doesn't know how to break it to him. Does she lay it on gently? Or does she have to rip the bandaid off? Whatever it is, it's killing her.

Luckily, she does have the whole summer to spend with him. Then, she'll fly off to the USA. (y/n) really wants to him as soon as possible. So, it's one way or another. A simple date would do, she would get to spend the whole day with him. Then when he comes home with her, she'll tell him during dinner. It's the easiest way that (y/n) can do this. It'll be easier on her mind and on her conscience. She nodded to herself but she wanted to cry. Will a long distance relationship work between them?

Maybe so, Zane loves her so much. (y/n) loves him as well, but she's afraid of going crazy. Anyways, the date came along and it was nice. They took a stroll by a lake. (y/n) and Zane walked on the docks and sat down. They even placed their feet into the water. It was nice and cool, it was a perfect contrast to the weather. (y/n) leaned on Zane's shoulder with a content sigh. She kissed his cheek then his lips. Zane kisses back and nuzzled her ever so slightly. Ah was soft and warm, precious indeed.

"(y/n)..." Zane spoke.

(y/n) nodded, "Yes?"

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Zane asked.

"What do you-"

"I mean about... Your scholarship in North America." He sighed.

(y/n) looked down at her hands, "I promise, I was going to tell you... but..."

He kissed her cheek, "I love you (y/n), just please remember that..."

"I love you too, but I was just scared. I didn't want you to be angry or sad. I just wanted to enjoy the summer with you."

He chuckled, "I could never be mad at that. In fact, I'm happy that you're following your dreams."

The two of them smiled.
