Chapter 8: Sorcerer

Kiru's power was instantly on display as he built up a vast amount of energy inside his body. His power-up was pushing the three heroes that stood before him back a little.

Mera: Damn! He's pushing us back!

Yuki: Grr!

Aurora: I'll stop it! Separatum!

Aurora held her hands out in the direction of Kiru, forming a dome of astral texture around her and the others to shield themselves from the violent gust of wind that came from Kiru.

Yuki: This...

Aurora: Hm?

Yuki: You...Who are you? 

Aurora: What?

Yuki: WHO ARE YOU!?

Mera: Andrew, calm down! You already know who she is!

Yuki: LOOK AROUND YOU, MERA! DOES THIS NOT REMIND YOU OF ANYTHING!?

It took her a while to catch on, but the space around them reminded her of the Chaos Realm that Sebastian placed her, Yuki, and Yoza in. She was stricken with disbelief but knew there was only one conclusion she could come to, looking at Aurora feeling as if he'd been lied to.

Mera: You're his sister, aren't you?

She didn't speak, not wanting to confess her sins.

Mera: Aurora, how could you hide that from us? I thought we were all in this together, that we could share anything.

Aurora: Look at how Yuki's reacting. That's exactly why I didn't tell you guys. You would've singled me out knowing I'm the sister of a man that strived for power. 

Yuki: Cut the guilt, where were you when we were fighting off those servants of Jackal's? Or how about where did you happen to be when Rogue was plotting to destroy the Earth AFTER we defeated your brother?

Aurora: Hiding. 

Yuki: Tch, of course.

Aurora: Not because I didn't want to fight! I just couldn't bear to see my brother so corrupt. 

Mera: You two seem to have the same abilities, why couldn't you at least help us cancel his out?

Aurora: Well, that's not all true. We were both originally experimented on to gain this power, and yes we are very similar when it comes to visuals but not entirely. You see I was just a simple mage who saw the world as beautiful, but my brother had different views. He believed without power the world is nothing. Jackal used that to his advantage and convinced him of joining his group of warriors. Onesius had come up with the idea of how to get Sebastian even stronger. Jackal approved and allowed him to test it on me first as a guinea pig. The results are as you can see...

Mera: And what happened to your brother? 

Aurora: He was given lethal amounts of dark energy, so much that nobody knows what happened with his body. It was as if he had transcended the normal boundaries of spirit energy.
