Chapter 2: Rendezvous

Jooheon felt tired. They were supposed to meet with Kihyun a while ago but thanks to Minhyuk's sudden need for coffee they ended up missing the last bus going to their meeting point, which was -he was told- on the complete opposite side of the city. They decided to walk since they had no money to call for a cab as they were undercover.

Before leaving, Jooheon and Minhyuk had changed their clothes in order to fit better with the ordinary folks. Jooheon had opted for a stylish cap with three silver rings on the side, a red hoodie with a white T underneath, a pair of black skinnies with holes "to let people admire his beautiful knees" and some light blue converse. He also had a few accessories such as chain necklaces, rings and of course, his precious watch. Minhyuk, for his part, chose to go with a simple black T, a chocolate brown jacket going down to his knees, a pair of blue jeans and a pair of black shoes. Walking side by side with one looking like a hip hop fashionista from the underground and the other looking like a respectable college student, passersby would definitely think that they made an odd pair.

"I think we are lost," Minhyuk stated for the eleventh time. They had been wandering around for the past 20 minutes, unable to find the place they were supposed to meet with Kihyun.

"What was the name of the place, again?" Jooheon asked, starting to lose patience.

"Momo Cafe, why?" Minhyuk replied using an innocent tone.

"What the actual Fxxk is wrong with you?!!!! If you already knew that we would go to a coffee place, you could have just waited!" He burst angrily.

"Kihyun only sent me the address. I figured the rest out after I got my coffee."

Furious veins could be seen twitching on Jooheon's temples as he was trying his best not to punch his colleague. He let out a deep and angry sigh escape from his nostrils, his hands, nonetheless remaining clutched into fists.

"Don't talk to me," He managed to express. Jooheon failed to repress his eyes from rolling in annoyance. He had had enough of this helpless Hyung.

It seemed that Minhyuk was oblivious to the other's irritation or purposely choose to ignore his state of exasperation as he continued.

"I can talk if I want and...Oh! Wait! It's right here!"

They crossed the street and Minhyuk held the door for Jooheon to let him in. The inside was spacious and warm. Whoever did the interior decoration design was worthy of praise. The overall look was clean and pleasing to the eyes without being tacky or overbearing. 

They both looked around, trying to find their friend and spotted him in the left corner of the shop. He was slowly mixing his drink with his spoon, his head turned toward the window as if lost in thoughts. They went to him.

"You both are awfully late," Kihyun stated nonchalantly. His sweet voice was mixed with a touch of eternal haughty tone.

It was indeed evident. They were 45 minutes...46 minutes late. All thanks to Minhyuk.

"We got lost," Minhyuk said shamelessly as if he had no part of responsibility in their tardiness. 

Jooheon's brows twitched upward in annoyance. He was about to expose his Hyung's audacity but he was cut off by Kihyun's words before even attempting.

"No need to explain. We are limited on time, so please, sit down."

Kihyun ordered two cups of tea while Minhyuk was taking off his jacket. They politely asked about each other's doings and nonchalantly talked about the weather. They waited until the waitress had gone back to the counter before talking about more serious matters.

Jooheon carefully peeked around to make sure they were not being spied on.

"S-So...why are we here exactly?" He asked nervously. He couldn't tell what kind of expression Kihyun had behind his thick dark glasses, but he could tell by the fact that they were having this meeting while they were still in the middle of a mission that what he was about to learn today would definitely not be some good news. That was an indisputable fact he had learned with experience.
