I smile and look down. All of a sudden I feel shy. How could he say such things about me? My life is nowhere near beautiful. But maybe, just maybe, it's going in the right direction.
After a few more minutes of savoring the sunlight, we pack up and quickly walk back to Matt's car. We're both quiet on the hike back, but it's not that weird quiet that needs to be filled. It's magical, like what we witnessed up on that mountain top.
I hop into Matt's car, and I hear Zeus get in behind me.
I look to Matt as he sits behind the wheel.
"Are we done?" I ask.
This time he grins from ear to ear. "Not even close."
Exams are done, so I can post now without the fear of failing my classes :).
Verrryyy short chapter, I know. But I'm posting two in a row, and this little part needed a cliffhanger. What is Matt up to? Where will he take Rynn next?? All I can say is, get excited!!
